Fred and Charlie are retired and they are avid fishermen. They go fishing every day on a small lake that has a road along one shore and a forest on the other. As is usual, today they are sitting in the middle of he lake in their bass boat fishing.
When a funeral procession drives along the shoreline road, Charlie takes off his hat and bows his head. To Fred’s amazement, Charlie remains that way through out the entire procession.
Fred comments to Charlie, “I never knew you had so much respect for the dead”.
Charlie replies, “I ought to, I was married to her for 53 years.”
