I don't believe money can *buy* true happiness. Yes it can make life easier for you and bring you all the materialistic things you ever wanted ...but.......in the long run........the things that seem to make people truly happy and at peace are love, family, friends. And money cannot buy those. I have been in a position where I made more money monthly than I cared to spend, bought whatever the heck I wanted, drove a nice car etc.... was I really happy?? No.........but being in a wonderful relationship changed that. The money we had just made life easier and we had the ability to do more fun things without financial worries. Given the choice today I would take being strapped for money and being in love than having all the money in the world and not having the right person to share it with. quote: ORIGINAL: UR2Badored Having money does not change a person but the lack of it does. As for the above statement I have seen it go both ways. I have seen people who came from nothing suddenly come into money and turn into jacka**es. Then I have seen others who come into money and not change. Personally I would hope that I wouldn't change....if I were lucky enough to come into a large some of money it would just enable me to help others and give to my fav. charities!
