LMAO I love this. Andi and I do this at LEAST once a week because andi wants everything to be Black or White and oddly enough 99.999% of common sense tends to fall in Light or dark Shades of Gray. You can't fix it. It is the Nature of the Beast of a D/s World. I as a D-type want my girl safe and doing as I say and following my rules but at times my rules conflict and andi deals with it the best way she can and often it isn't the way I want her to and most of the time I get a chuckle I think she is a Knuckle Head and let it go. BUT From time to time we see the same thing in two comepletely different lights and I get UPSET. I know I'm such a Bastard Right? And I talk STERNLY to her and depending on how she reacts I may even inform her she will be spending a night on the floor for her tongue. After a day or two I am able to see that she really didn't get it and well I end up doing the tap dance cause she spent a day on the floor and finally I am now able to see where things came from so she ends up getting IceCream. Here is how andi and I take it now days andi realizes she is in a corner with no way out and so she just agrees with me and appologizes and tries to make it better by not doing it all again, when inside she still thinks she did the right thing but to maintain happiness she just accepts things and waits. Now the BAD ones happen maybe 4 or 5 times a Year, and usually I end up looking like an ASS. But she loves and forgives me. I am working on my end and she is working on her end. As to the Original Post Topic. Consistency in the Threads is impossible. Others are trying only to fix one persons side. My car is really reliable. German engineering, works amazingly. However repairs are designed to not be able to be done at home. My radiator started dripping. I asked if he could follow me to the dealer to drop it off and bring me back a day later. He decided it's highway robbery for me to pay to get it fixed when he can do it. Which he could, only after taking the front end off because you can't get into it to fix it otherwise. And while it's disassembled, why not also change the water pump and timing belt/chain which were both due. Yes he saved me a lot of money but it took two weeks and several trips to the dealer to pick the service guy's brain and buy specialty tools. Plus mail order one specialty tool which they sent the wrong one and needed to mail back and wait for the replacement. But he drove me around in the meantime in his car, without my lumbar cushions and heated seats. I could barely walk without pain, those seats are all that keep my back from hurting day to day. Two damned weeks. Oh and my daughter has a different model car from the same manufacturer. Her tail light went out and we discovered that the bulbs can only be changed if you are lying down in the trunk. You can't see it from outside. Who dreamed this up and why? Why would you need to disassemble the dashboard to get to the headlight?

I am a fully supporter of the service industry. Then again my BIL is a master toyota mechanic so I know what to expect. If this were a very regular occurrance, there might be cause for concern, but just an occasional deal and you have to just have a sit down to go over where the wires crossed and move on.

EEEkkkk!!!..car issues!..please dont get me started on car issues!..since Jan 2008, my car has been a total beast!..The most sadistic, financially dominating,emotional mind fuck that I have ever experienced.The car is an absolute true sadist, and we pay for its less than consistant nature...Tempting...the one with bad car..ma...~wink~...(pun intended...hey!!..I thought it was funny!..:0)

i'm way confused. Why didn't you just ask which vehicle to use? i assume the pickup was parked close to the car. If the car is not in a safe operating condition, why not just ask to drive the truck instead? In my mind, there seems to be a problem with 'His' verses 'mine' going on here more than communication. It's a two-vehicle family. One vehicle is being repaired, take the one not being repaired. Seems simple to me.

This post just made Me think of one of My own. I wonder if this seems confusing to anyone else. My sub is required to open My car door, yet he's required to be kneeling when I arrive home. No wonder the poor boy doesn't know the proper action when I come home from work!

So, if I can drive that MONSTER a couple hundred miles, why can't i drive his pick up? hmm?

LMAO......that has sooo happened to girl.... thats not really being inconsistent...thats just being human...that sort of thing happens to girl ALL the time....Master says jump and girl just starts jumping..not really thinking that she should ask how high...or what to do if she comes to a cliff...she just jumps right off....and Master is thinking OMG! so Master tells girl her top priority when Master is not around is to take care of his property....that tends to help girl figure out it may be a bad idea to stick a butter knife in the toaster to get the stuck bagel out (before coffee) with out unplugging it first.... its not a matter of being stupid or silly...its mostly forgetful or just wanting to please and serve with out question,....its happens mostly when tests are coming up or there is a stressful family thing going on...that sort of mind, emotional distraction.....girl trusts Master to never cause her harm...but Master must take the responsibility to think before giving commands....LOL girl has rambled on enough.... pettingdragons Master Dragons considered slave May the yoda use "the force" when saving your ass from being caught on fire....

No I think he may have torn the dash apart to get to the Wiring Bypass so the Safety Kill Switch didn't engage that way the Dattime running lights also run the tail lights. The Computers on New Cars can cause Screwy things to happen that Cops like to give ticket for so by Bypassing the Wiring through the dash you can keep your Tail lights without dealing with the Computer in the car telling what lights need to be on. We did it with the Licenses Plate Light cause the Day Time runners don't have it on but in Utah you always have to have your Plate illuminated so I bypassed it to keep from a 25 dollar ticket. Steel

Generally when something like that happens I throw D/s out the window and use common sense for the situation to try and keep myself safe and still get things done if possible. If it comes down to it I'll choose common sense over appeasing an order. When you think about it, the fine for driving your car like that, or having an accident and getting your ass hurt or killed, really doesn't compare against going to your weigh-in. At least not in my books anyway, and if my partner opts for obedience over common sense, then they won't be my partner for long.

And, Prolific Needs, Master would probably like it if i could learn that amount of common sense. I told him, i try to use common sense and ask questions for clarification, but, really, we don't always see the same things are problems. To me, this was a tiny challenge to overcome. This is the nicest, safest, newest car i have ever owned. I have driven cars in worse shape than this one was that morning, hundreds of miles. I once owned a car with no reverse for two years. right before Master met me, i had a car with a transmition going out, and mydrid other problems (including the most jacked up drivers side door you ever saw - no window, no lock, no handle (whole where the handle goes), no inside door panel, just a coat hanger you reach through the window that aint there to yank on to open the door, and then drive with one hand out that not there window cause the door pops open at odd moments.) I couldn't afford tags so i drove it around with no plates for six months. I didn't show up in court for the tickets i got for that, which was what got me arrested shortly after Master collared me. (Do you know THEY TAKE YOUR COLLAR OFF if you get arrested? GG) First thing Master did was fix the door, then the lights, then.. then... then... i thought i'd fallen in love with an auto mechanic instead of an enginer. Showed up one weekend and he had a new door, just delivered from ebay. But it was the wrong color (like i give a hairy rat's ass!), so he took my door apart and rebuilt it! He's awesome! But, really, i just didn't see an issue with not having a control panel. I mean, the car goes forward, right?

Give the guy a break, he did try several times, but the mech gods were not on his side. Was there by chance, another way he expected you to go to your weigh in? Like use the son's car? or call a taxi? So maybe we need more information ?
