kinkbound -> Web Cams (5/15/2008 11:39:02 AM)

I want to have cyber sex with a willing, young, faraway hottie. She's already given me a taste of what's to come, but has understandably said "no more" until I install a web of my own.

The problem is that I've never used a web cam before, and don't know beans about them. Using Windows XP as an operating system, and wanting to look as good to her as possible, what are my best choices?

$99.95 for the initial charge...$9.95 per minute there after.  visa only.

with XP you just buy one and plug it in...it should work right away

with installing drivers..it will. Some do with out. Read the manual.....if you buy one.
IF you buy logitec they have step by step installationguide on cd..which does all.

No, nothing like that, though I can foresee myself eventually sending her a gift to show my appreciation. Would a dildo matching my cock size & color be appropriate?

(hopes he doesn't completely derail the OP, by biting here)

Are they pretty much all the same as far as picture quality goes?

I'm sure they aren't.  Maybe CNET reviews them?  I've only had one in my life.  I was beta testing it for a company.
Although with digital cameras having so many megapixels now...just bought a ten the other day.  I imagine web cams are getting better all of the time as well.

you might be better off with a digicam and not a web cam.  digicams can usually be used in the same way as web cam...but you have to ask a technician when buying to see which models do this.   digicams are $150 or less now for an 8 megapixel.

Go to Wal-mart (or someplace similar) and pick up a 4 megapixel or better cam... logitech makes the easiest to use, staqy away from micro
that will allow her to see all she really needs to see

Okay, I'm learning. The more megapixels, the better. (Nope, never owned a digital camera either. Yup, in the dark ages with modern tech.)

Would I be better off with a digicamera, as opposed to a webcam? What about the practibility of a digicam? Can one be mounted (and dismantled) easily enough, to accomodate my primary intended purposes? If this is the case, I could foresee advantages of a digicam, since I could use it for secondary purposes, as well.

Thanks to all who have responded so far.

I took the CNET and Logitech advice, and just ordered a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000.
