Looking for a website that contains patterns for easy to make straight jackets.

Search the forums here, i know this subject has been covered already.

As a make-shift one, you can use panty-hoes or thick tights. Cut a hole in the crotch portion for the head to go through, place arms through the legs, pull snug and tie legs behind someone's back. Enjoy.

I am not sure if i ever heard of patterns to make one. But if you aren't looking for one with all the leather reinforcement. You could probably make one from a pattern for a blue jean jacket. I bought a straight jacket from the stockroom which was made from blue jean material, but black. It has a heavy duty zipper up the back. And straps that buckle the front to back through the crotch. The sleeves are just real long sleeves with the ends sewn shut and a strap on each long enough to pull arms around and buckle in the front.

I would love to find someone willing to make me a straightjacket type denim vest where the sleeves would just buckle or lock on. Plus it would have to be sized for me as a plus sized woman and then perhaps have easily removable side panels as I'm losing weight rather rapidly. And it would be great too if I could remove the panels even now to fit my boys and play partners of different sizes. I have an image in my head but can't draw it.

I have a real straight jacket that was given to me by a friend who works at a hospital.  I always thought it was fun, but never realized how difficult & expencive these things are.  I really should get around to drawing patterns off the one I have to make more... or just sell the patterns.

BBB, they don't come in alot of sizes but generally are adjustable with buckles and straps.

yeah cali, being a vendor of some, i know the sizes they come in and the adjustability with straps but they still aren't quite big enough for me. Besides I'd just love to have a custom one anyhow... all my leather clothing is custom because I'd rather spend good money to have exactly what I want than to spend okay money on something I'm only remotely happy with it.

I must be lucky, I got a real Posey straight jacket sometime ago and the model for it must have been my stunt double. It fits like a glove, much to my dismay sometimes.

I don't know if this info is useful, but Sir and I had great luck buying a fairly inexpensive straight jacket off E-bay a christmas or so ago. I'm not sure if they are still selling them, but the nice thing was they were black.

This is not a straight jacket I want to be thrown around in as it's not constructed out of very robust canvas, but it serves it's purpose.

Also, I found it to fit nicely, even back when I was a size 28.

Tripp NYC has made several straight jackets...  not sure how well they work, but you might be able to check em ou to make a pattern that you can use
