Recently I have been given cause to consider putting together a hypnosis as it relates to BDSM class,

Hypnosis as a fetish has been around a long time. Hypnosis used in power exchange has been around a long time as well. It has become over the past few years more mainstream than it had been in the past. As a result the interest in it has grown.

Hypnosis, because it deals with the mind is an extremely vast topic, Condensing to an hour while answering what most people that live this lifestyle would most want to know can be a challenge which brings up the question...

If you have an interest in hypnosis as it relates to BDSM either with play or by itself what would you hope to get out of a class and demo? (Hypnotists are all around us LOL and feel free to chime in however I am mainly interested in the questions from people that really are not yet proficient in hypnosis but have had or are developing a serious interest in the topic as it relates to BDSM)

I'd recommend chatting up a fellow in FL formerly by the name of LthrEdge, he gives fantastic presentations on hypnosis usage in bdsm. There's a local hypnosis group here that is now organized by a kinkster and he is actually giving a presentation on this topic next month so I can give fresh notes on that.

Mostly, talk to the other hypno kink lovers around, base it on the fun side, and of course have some handouts. Presentations tend to be much more about the HOW and very little specific with the WHAT.

I have been practicing it for a few years, with success but honestly I don't think we ever stop learning. Someone I had been speaking to recently asked me about some of the uses of Hypnosis in BDSM and some of the risks I have run into. So if I had my druthers three topics it would cover...

1. Some of the basic uses of hypnosis in BDSM, both kink and non-kink
2. Precautions that should be taken, mental health questions asked, and techniques for when things go bad
3. For the real novice subjects, how not to get frustrated if you do not go deep the first time and what the expectations of the subject should be.
