If he is going to own me then I have to love him, and I need him to love me. In the beginning my Sir promised to give me his love because he knew I required it. However, he didn't feel that having love was a requirement for him to have a happy D/s relationship. He has sense changed his mind, but will argue vehemently, to anyone who will listen, on how love certainly complicates the D/s relationship. I just tune him out. [:)]

I've loved hard without it... Now that I have both...I enjoy both, and within this particular relationship, it's required. Now if things ever branch out....I will care as I do for my friends...but loving anyone else that I might end up playing with...no, I don't think I'd need to love them, not the way I love my Mate.

If I am just going to be a play partner with someone then I do not need love. If I am going to have a relationship with them then I do need the love with the kink.

I can have just the kink with just a play partner I'm really good friends with, but ultimately I'm happiest when I am in love with my domme. I have the best of both worlds with Mistress. ~ Fast Reply ~ Don't need "love" but need emotions. I find it impossible to bring any energy to a scene without knowing and having an emotional connection on some level with the other person. "Love" spans a spectrum. Lets just say that I require some "love" or else the interaction and sensations generated are 'clinical'.
