http://www.alternet.org/blogs/video/85620/ this is noteworthy in the regard that many public discussions are chocked with a lack of facts and history - not with standing skewed facts; but outward ignorance.

Setting aside this particular incident, and notice how many -how frequently this non-brain mode has come to public debate.

it must be true. this generation is "dumbed down"

any thoughts on improving public problem solving ?

No matter how many times I see that its still hilarious.

To answer the question, at some point people stopped doing basic research. The shouting heads shows are a symptom of this. People spout made up stuff or misquote something someone else has said and expect that no one will check the facts or that no one will care even if they are caught. Rush Limbaugh has made a career of simply spouting lies for several hours a day and despite ample proof that he lies about everything people still listen and believe everything he says.

I actually caught this live during a rare moment of television watching. I didn't know whether to laugh or scream in frustration: on reflexion, it's actually quite frightening that they let Kevin James or whatever his name is out of the zoo and in a television studio.

with ALL the people in the country- and the batch that HAS a brain, the current crop of heads ought to take it elsewhere and let the others get to the bottem of it. Assuming we want to get to the botten of any issue!

Im ......soured over the bunch of older ladies who plan to protest May 30/31 per the dem credentials committee, claiming hillary is left out due to sexism.

sexism? what does that have to do with the numbers? they seek to stay home or actively vote for mccain. why would dem john doe- then be willing to vote hillary in 2012, 2016?

cspan had a peice on the past 16 election conventions.. ALL where the winner was argued-as in a close call, all LOST.
this isnt me saying it- this is the past 16 cycles that occurred.

so shoot the foot since hillary did not win by vote.

that seems to say to "me", well, "fema-nazi".
