Someone's email reminded me of this a few minutes ago... I thought it was worth sharing... There is a gadget called a "radiological isolator" that is used to keep the liquid from gages in the contaminated systems from contacting the $30,0000 precision gage calibrator. One of the first things I ever did after qualifying was to get the radiological isolators ready for use and replace the diaphrams and seals. I get the usual brown envelope. "Diaphram, Radiological Isolator, 1 each, MIl-SPEC-xxxx" So I lay out my tools. Get the isolator out and sit it on the workbench. Mark off an area as a "contamination control area, FME area, Radiological Area". I open the packages of the gaskets and isolator diaphram. And the CPO comes running trying to find out why I was cackling so hard. Diaphram, Radiological Isolator, 1 ea.... was a Trojan (Unlubricated) and it costs $45 each. Stefan

LOL.. That had to be a Government purchase, considering the Price of an Unlubricated Trojan. Though that does remind me of a promo that I recieved from McAfee many many years ago. A large squared Trojan in a wrapper that said to deposit my hard drive inside or use McAfee's Virus Scanner from protection from viruses and trojans. It was suggested to me to use the magnums that trojan makes. I keep a few on me now for "emergencies" and I wont use anything else. I was at a party that the hosts required use of the condoms that they provided, needless to say, no nookie for me that night...
