I am working on my profile and tried to upload a photo, but it was rejected. I want a pic that does not give out my identity, so i took a picture of me with a blindfold licking a boot. I am not sure what the offensive part of that was. Does anyone know where that line is and what is allowed? Does anyone have any photo suggestions? They seem vague about the standards. I was thinking of taking a pic where I am holding up cuffs that covers my face. Not sure. I guess trial and error is the best thing to try.

i think if you have a picture of your face, you have to show your face and not cover it. Are you embarassed to show your face? who is gunna find out?

In my opinion...

eekkkk I know scary thought lol. If a picture is taken and placed on a profile it should show the face as the most important and if you dont want your identity revealed then well why not just forget the picture all together and put your focus on creating a simple well written profile.

Why not take a profile or pic from behind you but so you can see what you are doing?

This is kind-of related. My picture here on the message boards side is gone and I didn't get a reason why. I am sad because it was my favorite picture of myself and it doesn't go against any of the rules about pictures.
Are they getting rid of all the personal avatars? I noticed I can't find the option to put it back up anymore.........

Hello troch,
You could kneel and place your arms straight out in front of you next to your ears. This way your face won't show. The main profiles usually won't approve photo's where you have on kinky gear. I think the blindfold got it booted out.
My advice would be to look at what other men have for their photo's and use that to help you.
Sincerely,
sub suzanne

Don't take it so hard, trock.

I started with a darkened photo to reveal My basic appearance without being recognizable by My co-workers at the office! It generated so many fake identity emails I took it down.

Then, I submitted an actual photo of My face that had been altered artistically with PSP to blurr My exact features a bit: It was rejected, although I have seen similarly retouched photos posted since then. Who knows why pastel effects, charcoal effects, tintype effects or certain elements are rejected on here?

That's when I reviewed the avatars and found something remotely suitable. Arrrgh.

My photos get rejected all the time.
I cant have a semi-decent pic of a person....but they allowed My exam table and the spreader bar above it.

Maybe it deoends on who's day it is to review pics, and appparently none of them get turned on by seeing nakedness....lol

Have you considered a photo with a Halloween mask like a cat or a mouse? That might fly. Or maybe have your hair covering your down-turned face while you kneel?

I'm sorry to jump into the middle of your thread troch, but I have what I belive to be a parallel question.

I'm not so much worried about covering my face, (slowly getting over that fear) but just trying to come up with a better photo in general. It seems from previous comments that showing one's face is important, but beyond that, what else makes for a good photo? Should I strive for accuracy or try to titilate?

Peronsally, I'm a realist and believe that I'm not a handsom guy (not fishing for compliments or support). The lower half of my person is better than my top half. Is it worth the effort to try a bunch of more "provocative" shots with this in mind and see what makes it through the sensors or stick with the headshot and see what I can do there?

Thanks!

This isn't specifically on topic, but I'm mourning the loss of my avatar. My pretty little bondage angel is gone. Ah well, hopefully this too will pass.

If you had an avatar that disappeared from the message boards, you may be interested in this thread.

Thanks for the link. I've already read it, but I was wondering when mine would go. It took a little longer, but now I'm back to my profile pic.

Did you pm the Moderator directly? I think it's a case by case basis. Mine was taken care of.

Nah, it's not a big deal. I don't want to cause more work for the Mods. I knew mine would go the way of the Do-do eventually. =)
