Some really like wearing the device. Though male, it is similar for females. The best way to explain it I think would be that it's like being tied or chained up. Why does anyone like that ?
It's a similar difference to ordering a sub to stay on the bed vs actually tying or chaining them to it. Wearing a stainless steel CB is like having your own portable sub space. And discreet.
There are many models that allow for all body functions as well as cleaning. It can be difficult especially when you consider menstruation, but they can be work for months on end. However most people with sanity go for at least a weekly cleaning. Usually the wearer is restrained during the process. It's all in what kind of game you want to play.
When you say you are not finding CBs suitable for long term wear, it suggests to me that you are not looking in the right places. Be warned however, they are not cheap. Each is custom made.
Tollyboy is the Rolls Royce of CBs and the price reflects that. Arab Shieks an the like are among their clientele. They are in England so with current exchange rates, you are not getting out of there for less than two grand.
Neosteel is in Germany, and while their prices are lower, they still ain't cheap. You might get one for like $1,500 or so. They also have some very interesting options. If you order those you are still in the same price range as the Tollyboy.
I just checked real quick and I see you are in the US. The good news is there is a relatively new company called Locked In Steel. They are in New Hampshire which is still a long haul, but it is closer that England or Germany. (if you go there pick me up on the way, I'll chip in for gas)
I am not 100% sure, but I think to get a Tollyboy you actually have to go there, while Neosteel and Lockedinsteel have other ways to get you measured. Either way, from what I have heard at least ½ of the belts have to go back for readjustment. But they can fit them alot better when you are actually there. Therefore Lockedinsteel might be your best option. You don't need a passport or a plane ticket, you can drive there.
And their prices are even lower. They have options for long term comfort, like a drop front waistband. All of the above are designed to be worn almost forever. Almost.
At Lockedinsteel you might get out the door for a thousand bucks or less, and the reduced travel expenses make it an attractive option. But you can really lock that tiger up. These things are not jokes, you need power tools to remove them without the key.
It all comes down to how serious you are. Anything can be cut, and that has been the topic of much discussion on LMU. I was considering a hybrid material specifically designed to destroy cutting bits, or even catch on fire if cutting is attempted. Don't go that far, at least stainless can be cut and if something happens to go further for security is actually a risk you might not want to take, remember SSC. If she gets in a car wreck and needs to get an Xray or an MRI it needs to come off.
With the proper combination of materials I think I could make it very difficult and dangerous to cut off, but this is largely a fantasy. I have not persued it because it is unreasonable. Unless she carries a Dremel tool in her purse, stainless will do just fine.
But the thing is, if you send her out wearing it and she comes back wothout it, you know what happened. You could just put her in a Waterhole. A Waterhole CB is adjustable and very inexpensive, about a hundred bucks. However the design is not all that advanced and it has to come off for cleaning almost every day. However it makes for a nice training device :-)
It is plastic, and it can be cut unless you keep her away from knives and scissors. But detection is usually the issue. And you can't break it, I have one and I have tried. But once cut it is cut. Once adjusted properly she can't get it off without cutting, and for a hundred bucks, it might just be worth it. It can be worn swimming, in the tub, shower, whatever. So can all the pricey ones as well, but with them you can let her in the kitchen.
You can order people not to touch themselves all you want, even if they obey. But there is something different about reaching one's hand down there to find an impenetrable barrier. As I said, it's all in what kind of game you want to play.
