I was talking with a friend yesterday, We wert talking abour Dons and subs that have long distance relantiships(sp). She feels that if the sub travels to see the Dom and chooses to saty in a hotel for safety isues, the Dom should pay because after all she sprang for the airfare. I am not sure if i agree with her reasoning. I think they should each put in half for everything. So who do you think should pay in the above situation? Matt's litlteone

I think the couple should decide together what is workable as far as travel expenses. Sometimes one member of the couple has more money or time as far as travel and can more easily afford the expenses involved, sometimes it's a more equal partnership, just depends on the people and their circumstances.

When I visited Angel, I paid for the hotel AND for the airfare. If I am the one deciding to visit, the cost is mine. If HE wanted me to come out, HE gets to foot the bill. All something to talk about before the plans are made. DV

Very good links. We use to pay 100% of the cost's until a couple of bad experiences of no shows, or girls just coming for a free trip. So our new rule is they must pay for their own trip. Or if finances are a issue, they pay for their own trip and after they get here, we will reimburse 50 %. As CM say's don't send anyone money. Alpha Slave Two Four Seven Poly

I personally think it is whoever made the decision to travel ,unless financially they need some help. If I want someone to travel to me bad enough of course I would help out in the expenses but they should contribute as well. My Dominant travels back and forth to GA, and our home is in TN. When I was able to visit for spring break I paid for the air and hotel to get there. We are practically married (( long term commitment without the official paper) Before we do any travelling we negotiate who take care of what expense before it happens. Same thing as going to a movie etc, It's usually up to the person who had the idea of the event to pick up the majority of the cost.
