jackson35 -> Top 10 (or 20) rules pf protocol? (10/22/2005 6:46:37 AM)

I've been around the lifestyle some for the past year, but wasn't really willing to learn until recently. Unfortunately, most of the group I belong to is 80 or more miles away, so it can be very difficult for me to meet with anyone to ask questions. What I want to know are some of the basic rules of ettiquete and protocol. I know a few of them (ask before touching is obvious and a basic rule in swinging groups)... at this point I am chiefly concerned with not getting another's sub\slave in trouble for something I've done, especially the subs in the group I would like to 'chat' with at munches and parties (some of them have common interests or similar work as I.)

Basically, behave as if you were in a vanilla situation and there is someone you can ask: the person you are chatting with. A submissive knows what the rules are in his or her relationship and will probably be glad to communicate them to you.

Just watch, see how others are behaving. Some groups are high on protocol, some not so much.

It's the subs responsibility to inform those around her if any rules are likely to be broken or how to avoid them being so.

Personally, when I went out into the scene for the first few times to local munches, I found them pleasant and fun. People were open to my questions, and weren't all serious like I imagined. I remained respectful and did not judge anyone. through those actions, they welcomed me back time and again, and I eventually got invited elsewhere, to parties,...clubs...etc.

I suggest the same for you, to remain respectful to everyone and polite. if something does not suit your taste, simply concentrate on something that does, without passing judgement on others.

I wish you well and feel free to contact Me or Mine if you have any personal questions you do not feel like posting here.

Phoenix.
