MasterKazarik -> Asking your help in some research (5/20/2008 10:31:31 AM)

Good Day all!!

For the past while I having been busy with life and work and school, but now I am starting to see a bit of the summer break coming soon and have started planning my summer projects..
My first project is a major item for my dungeon.. I hope to make this item extremely versitile in use. To do so, I really need the help of the members of this group and more..
If you would be so kind, I need to get some information on sizes of girls and boys who would be using this furniture.. If you could, could you please complete the following measurements and then message me dirrectly that would be greatly appreciated.
I thank you all very much..
What I need to know is the following

- Ankle circumference (1 inch above the ankle bone)
- Distance of Ankle bone to floor
- total height
- When bent over total height from floor to bend (if bent over board what is the height that would be comfortable)
- boy or girl?

Master KazariK

PS - As per a request from a friend, I will happily link some pictures and post them to my profile later this summer when compeleted.

My measurements would probably not help you. I have very large ankles and feet. It seems my wrists are a bit smaller than they used to be but it is EXTREMELY difficult for me to turn my wrists in police handcuffs. In fact my Father's wrists used to be so big that handcuffs simply would not fit him.

But what I have to say might help, and it is all based on one word - adjustability. How hard is it to drill a few more holes ? Thing is, you could measure one person up and get everything just right, but then what if someone else "uses" it ? I do have a way of putting things sometimes eh ?

As I stand above the ankle, where a restraint would go is about the diameter of a CD off the floor. Ankle circumference is a different story. I have put ankle cuffs on sitting and they hurt terribly when I stand. So it depends on just what takes the body weight.

Good day Termyn8or

Actually that is exactly what I want.. I am looking to get as many different people telling me information. I agree, we all have different sizes. If I just went with what I ** THINK ** it should have, how many people am I excluding by it being either to big, or to small?

The more people tell me, the better the design will be, because it will be just that, versatile.. That is the ultimate goal.. I want to design it in such a way that I can take this to a party and have it so every single person there could use it, or at the very least 99%.. The design I currently have will do that, but there are some things that I need to tweak.. This is one area.

Again, the more people that can give me this information, the better the design will be in the end..
Got to love bell curves and the data they provide!

I need to start out by saying…I’ve never been quite the norm…so with that said. Ankle circumference is 8 inches.  I have a broken ankle…it ranges from 1 to 2 inches thicker depending on how long I’ve been on it in a given day.  However the good ankle is 8 Distance-4.5 inches Height-5’8 Bent over height I am presuming you mean perfect height of say a table to bend over it?  If so that would be 37 inches. I am female.
