good advice (Full Version)

I have been reading profiles and found two that are for real and know what they are talking about, a female who lives and has for a while D/s Master/slave and a Master. I read their journal entries as they are very good and address situations head on with out hesitation or game playing. I began with the A's and read state by state the profiles and I am sorry too say all  females and males almost read alike except for the few you findhere nad there. I have read many good ones besides these but these two just do not pull any punches for either side of the BDSM lifstyles.
I have learned from them as I hope many will do.
Just wanted too give credit instead of criticium .

i have found a few handfuls of profiles/journals, as well as input on the boards that have enlightened me, made me roll on the floor, made me cry, and scratch my head in dismay.
For instance, Your profile is as elusive as the wind!

Never have i failed to learn something.

Judging by your own expressed criteria, you aren't for real and don't know what you're talking about. I base this simply on the fact that you don't have a profile up.

Please be advised that not everyone is great at writing. And not everyone wants to write on a profile intimate details of their heart and soul.

Just because we don't share it with the world doesn't mean we aren't real. And just because our tastes, needs, desires are different than you doesn't mean we don't get it. It means we get what we need, which frequently isn't what someone else needs.

I spent time reading profiles and journals. I find the journals and profiles interesting. You see a small portion of what is going on in their life at that moment. I rarely judge anyone by what they have written. We are only human and each of us see things differently.

profiles are simply the part of someone that they choose to put out on CM... and you never really know if any of it is true... I wouldn't put much stock in them... I don't... they're a start.. but they are never the whole of anyone...

{laughing} I guess by your criteria I'm not "for real" since I don't journal.  I apologize for that. I guess I'm just too busy living life... and writing books.

A word of advice: instead of the inplication that people are not "for real" you'd be better off saying "I've found people who match with me"

You think they are for real?  Based on profile/journal entries?  You are joking, right?  Let me introduce you to the internet -- people can and do say anything here, doesn't mean they are real.

I must not be of the 'for real' variety either.  The only thing I ever use the journal for is to mention places that I'll be or events I'm going to.

Dear ControllersKat, Ladies and Gentlemen;
 
I realize that people can write and write good stories to which everything may sound correctly to a savy person.  But, I would not totally invest in the idea if anything is well written that it is true of their experience, knowledge and or character.  There have been on many occasions where people have written extremely good profiles and faked journals--they take from others and with slight changes--made it 'theirs.'  Meeting them in person is more truthful--they cannot lie about their knowledge and or skills then.
 
For me, I do share a lot but--I don't share it all.  My slave's business and my business are private and not a tool to boast with.  Though I have been very proud of all my slaves--I do not need public approval or a public audience to know so.  Thus, you will never see me journal in a public forum such.
 
Just some thoughts.

You assumed by their writing that they were for real and most others are not?  Have you heard of fiction writers?

Better yet just define Master, Dominant, sub, and slave in a way that everyone can agree on. Screw the Real and Twue definitions just define the word in a way that we all can agree on.

Look I am happy that you found people you can relate to OP and I am happy that you learned something from them but know that many different views are what make this lifestyle interesting and what gives people the ability to enjoy themselves in this lifestyle.

Be happy with the friends you make just remember none of them are the end all be all of BDSM.
