Anyone have any suggestions on how to move on after being uncollared?  I've only been collared for a little over 3 months so I really didn't think it would be this hard, especially how things were going in the end.  I feel like I've lost a major part of me.

give it time. do stuff for yourself, maybe stuff you let slip to the wayside when you were collared.

Its just like getting over any relationship loss.. take the time you need to grieve.. but get out and don't put your life on hold...

time really is your friend... and don't dwell on things, when you find yourself dwelling on it, think of the things that were wrong.. why that person was not really for you...

Have a good cry over it,
go to the woods and shout it out, then take a good warm shower, dress yaself up, and go out
have a great nite with friends!

Part of life hon,
Wwe all done it before,
so goodluck with that.

If it were me I'd try to get on with life as fast as I could.  I would know if I didn't I would be dwelling on what was wrong with me and why I failed in a relationship.
While it takes two to fail, I tend to take things a bit harder when it is someone I loved.
Do a little soul searching, figure out what you want out of life then go get it.  Don't dwell too much in the past.  The break up wasn't all your fault.

Part of your life is gone...but it doesn't mean it was a good part.  Keep in mind we mourn abusers when they leave our lives as well.  Just as we mourn good people.

all good advise is already mentioned. Give it time. Your propably never forget it, that is not needed, but time will make you handle it.

Was this your first collar? It's hard breaking a relationship, but time will help. Just give yourself a chance.

Thanks for the advice everyone.  Trust me, I've done my fair share of crying and I'll continue to do it.  But I do realize that it was probably for the best.  I wasn't happy in how things were going and if I'm not happy then how am I going to make him happy?  It's not fair to either one of us.

Sorry for the double post but this one was posted while I was typing mine.

No this wasn't my first collar but it was my first Dom that I really felt connected with and trusted.  All of my other relationships ended with me running away because they turned abusive either mentally or physically.  He was the first person I've trusted for a very long time.

Did reality set in after you entered this lifestyle?

Please take a lesson in this. Don't collar to someone you don't trust. Don't rush the relationship. Hang loose. The newness of a relationship feels so good, but when reality sets it you can see a lot of stuff you were blind to before. Tough break, but allow it to settle and just don't make the same mistakes next time.

How would you get over a vanilla SO? It's the same thing here...and most likely the answer is:

Time.

I've come close to losing my Dom and I can totally sympathise. I would be a wreck if I was to be uncollared. If you ever need to chat or just feel like venting, feel free to send me a message. It is always going to be hard and an emotional time when good connection between a Dom and a sub has been severed. It is rather like a relationship, I feel. I hope that you can get over this, and hopefully find another Dom that you can connect with just as well, if not more so.
