This may not seem like much, but the more it's used in a session, the more intense it gets. Great for warming up and for those who love to be scratched! Get a good handful of wooden kabob sticks... find some thick material (we use thin leather ourselves). Now, cut your material about five inches wide and about ten inches long (fold in half by longest length). Size can vary based on your own preferences. Next, coat one half of the inside part of your material with some good glue, such as contact cement or in our case, leather glue, and lay out your kabob sticks in a single layer across your material at it's center mark (mark it on the 10 inch length's center). Keep the flat sides at the center mark, so the points are sticking beyond the material. Keep your sticks snugly side by side, and leave about a half inch on each side of your grouping. Let the glue set for a few so the sitcks won't slide, then add a second layer of glue and kabobs on top of the first row. They will be slightly off set from the first row. You want this! Again, let the glue dry for a bit so you can add more glue to the top of row two without the sticks sliding. Fold the unused half of your material up and over your sticks. Add some glue to the half inch sides and press them together to seam both ends of your rows together. Use clamps or clothespins to hold the ends securely together, and bring them together, forming a circle, with the second row inside. Clamp ends together and set aside to allow the glue to dry completely. When completely dry, add buttons, snaps or strong velcro to the half inch sides. You know have a toy that makes for a great paddle, with a good loud sound, and a toy for edge play that can be used as the circlular group, or flatten out straight to cover more "ground" as you draw it across someone's skin.
