I've been eavesdropping for several months and finally joined tonight - so here it goes.

I've read many posts complaining about "sub idiocy" - where the sub jumps in too deep too fast and then comes here to whine about getting hurt. So is there a version of "dom/me idiocy"? What kinds of mistakes do dom/mes make in their initial relationships?

Or would answering this question violate some code of dom/me machismo/a?

Doms/Dommes can also jump into a relationship too fast or fall for a player just as a sub can. Being a dope knows no boundaries.[;)]

Well it might not violate a formal code but for certain it would challange a "D" to admit his/her own mistakes.

We all make then in various ways and manners, as just like the opposite side of the slash, most attempt to learn from them.

We don't look at them as mistakes. They are challenged wrong doings. Help me out here people. I know it can be said better than that.

a momentary brain fart
an inability to think because her chest was in the way
miscalculation
preemtive calculated risk

hmmm the term "sub frenzy" comes to mind as well as what is it called "Dom frenzy" ?? giggles
People are people....Male Female and any where in between...and some people get "caught up" in the Rush of serving or owning....or what have you...its adicitive...like crack...well like the crack of Masters whip...LOL

I think that for every sub that posted a whiney story, the Dom had an equally bad story to share as well.  I just think that maybe the ratio of whiney subs vs Doms is what makes our stories more rarely shared.

I have my share of horror stories... we all do.  I just don't reminisce about the bad stuff when I can spend emotional energy doing something more fun like creating new stories.

Sub or Master we all get that person who thinks they want to get into this lifestyle but wasn't really prepared.  On the Sub side, they get the "fake" Masters who are just looking for a Fuck slave or an easy lay because they figure there's a lot of kinky people here so it should be easy.  They talk a good game and then mess with a new sub who doesn't know better and now its going to take months or years to get them with a proper Master and trained.  On the flip side, Master's have had plenty of subs who think they're ready and even with the Master prepping, they still freak out.  Or are just looking for a Masochist/Sadist relationship not a D/s relationship.  And there is a difference.  I love Causing pain but that's not the only thing I love.  And a few sessions is fine but if that's the only thing it gets boring for me.  There's a million and one ways I can cause you pain but do I need to go through all of them in a week?    So are there horror stories, yes there are.  Subs throwing up (un-intentionally), defecating, urinating or start bawling for no reason.  Ok, enough rambling.  Just my two cents.

Surely you jest.  As a dominant, I never make mistakes.  I merely achieve a lesser degree of being right.

Aha! Thank you for the insight. As a very new sub I was rather confused by how I kept thinking I was right, but it turned out I was always mistaken.
