So again it's a non starter in both cases for me it speaks to such a small part of the reason to choose a president that niether case ranks above a 3 or 4.

Thanks for the clarification, Archer... Um... BTW, where did you get that cool SS uniform hat? Oh, and, what is the meaning of that sheild your standing in front of? (just curious)

Just wondering how many of you have a spiritual advisor? I consider myself a christian but do not think of my pastor as an advisor..I leave that to my personal interpretation of the Bible.

Butch

I had a Bookie once, does that count?

I've known a few bookies that thought they were God...so yes that will work...as long as you believe in someone...[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m16.gif[/image]

Information point #1 the cap I am wearing in the photo is called a Muir Cap it has no SS affiliation. It has been a part of the Leather Subculture for decades since Marlon Brando wore a cloth version of it in The WildOnes 1953. It was originally designed as a police officer's cap. It is often called a Master's Cap or Cover within the leather community. I recieved the Cap as a piece of earned leather presented to me by my local community. No nazi influence but rather a motorcycle cop influence.

The Shield is my personal hallmark a freind designed it for me to use for my leather business and personal use back around 2000. An arrow with an oversized A for Archer. Been using it for my house colors ever since.

Concur.  I've seen a real SS uniform and that isn't it.

To the OP:

We need a debate between the two pastors, now.  And a Fox special entitled "When Pastors Attack".  Personally, I think we should blow this so out of proportion that it becomes incredibly comical; that seems more likely than everyone shutting up about it, so that's what I'm for.

McCain has just expressed disgust with Hagee's Hitler remarks, and rejected his endorsement.  Again, McCain was never a member of Hagee's congregation.  The remarks were made in the early 90's, and I seriously doubt that McCain knew about them.  Like I said before, a lot of denominations have nutty doctrines.  Political candidates are not obligated to go back into the history of everyone that supports them.   A neo-Nazi endorsed Ron Paul during the primaries and sent him money.  Does that make Ron Paul a neo-Nazi?

Notice I'm not arguing on the content of the stories here; I know for a fact the media has a tendency to wildly distort and blow out of proportion anything they get their hands on.

Accepting this will not change, I merely advocate they do it in as entertaining and obvious a fashion as is possible.

So what you are saying, is that we have TWO bigots running for office?

Hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa........[:D]

Real, I wasn't replying directly to you.  I should have indicated it was a fast reply.  Sorry about that.

Irishknight -> RE: Now its McCains pastor? (5/22/2008 6:56:29 PM)

I've also seen a real ss hat and yours is waaayy cooler, Archer.

Ah, no worries.  I suppose I'm just narcissistic enough to think everyone must be talking to me, naturally!

Ahem.

If he kept the money, and didn't reject his endorsement, then... YES.

Once again, we get to hear your childish nonsense; like trying to accuse one of the posters here of being a SS admirer because of his hat an for disagreeing with you.  I got news for you, you live in a county that won't vote for Obama.  The electoral votes in this entire state will go to McCain, so essentially your vote isn't going to count.  But keep trying to win everyone over by telling them to "suck it" and by accusing them of being Nazis.

Irishknight -> RE: Now its McCains pastor? (5/23/2008 6:12:28 AM)

He just has the fanatsy of being sucked by Nazis.  Thats why he keeps asking.

Some people seem to think that the louder and more hatefully they speak to the other side, the more people they will win over to their cause.  We need a message of hope not hate from a candidate capable of making it happen.  Until either side sees that, we are going to have to continually put up with these kinds of childish tantrums.

orfunboi -> RE: Now its McCains pastor? (5/23/2008 6:17:42 AM)

It sounded like he was dumping the guy to me....

"Late Thursday McCain announced he was rejecting Pastor Rod Parsley's endorsement he had once so eagerly sought. "

Can't say I blame him.

Archer -> RE: Now its McCains pastor? (5/23/2008 7:46:50 AM)

Glad someone else noticed it, I had the same 'It's a thinly veiled accusation" thought but thought for a second maybe I'm seeing something that's not there. Glad to know I'm not the only one who saw it as the accusation.

It will be interesting to see how this relationship plays out, and the reaction for or against what this pastor says in comparison to Rev Wright.

Interesting in a tabloid sense, as is the Rev. Wright controversy.  Not interesting to anyone who is concerned about real issues and rational governance.

And people wonder why I'm a pastapharian...

I'm an apatheistic.  I just really don't care whether there is or is not a higher power.  I believe in karma - that if I'm a jackass it will come back and bite me sooner or later.
