How many here have considered the fact you only need to rig one vote to tie and two to win an election in America.

Thousands of absentee votes, especially from military voters can be ignored or counted falsely.

A rough quote I believe from Stalin went something like this " In democracy the power is not in the hands of the voters it is in the hands of those counting the vote.".

Yes, usually old honest retirees count the votes, but, they then pass it on to the government, who then tells us the country total votes for each candidate. Don't forget the electoral college and the fact you have to vote for tweedle dumb or tweedle dumber in the primaries and final election. It should be if no one gets enough votes new people could be considered to run.

It seems perhaps G.W.B. was elected in Florida, his brother was governor, by 500 votes perhaps, out of how many voted country wide? Then in Ohio by how many?

Can Uncle Sam be trusted to count the vote and report it honestly?

I'm from Florida.... I saw the vote fix go in first hand.  I can’t believe the US stood there while Bush thugged his way in to the Whitehouse to fix his interests in oil pricing.  $30 a barrel when he started…. $120 a barrel now.

You do realize the gas price and the gas mileage you get are connected, right? The better your gas mileage the more the GOVERNMENT allows you to be charged for gas, though it is price fixing and gouging. Both illegal.

michaelOfGeorgia -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/23/2008 4:41:59 PM)

i'm sure somehow my vote is cast whether i vote or not. saves me time from having to get out of the house anyway. haven't registered to vote since Ross Perot ran (and bailed). what's the point? the people i would vote for either bail out or don't exist in the first place.

polyspride -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/23/2008 6:22:27 PM)

I vote, sometimes write in though, Mickey Mouse got a lot of votes in my time, TAZ, Woody Woodpecker, Popeye, Kermit, Miss Piggy, etc. Perot was good, Ralph Nader perhaps.  Why not have fun as it doesn't count anyhow. We are under the control of special interests, not in our best interest, processed white sugar (I believe ruled by our congress, in closed session, to be a poison) , medical, insurance, anything that makes us sick or pollutes controls our government to make more money for itself at our expense. If the government was concerned about us why did it remove the solar panels off the white house? To help us by spending more of our money for it's prosperity? To pollute more so we'd get sick and spend more on medical care, etc.?

The ellection should have shown Bush losing with 246 vs Gore’s 291.  Bush was 246 to Gore's 266 in the 2000 election.  But thanks to the supposed trouble with butterfly ballots, a small riot in Miami and Bush’s brother Jeb the governor of Florida, Bush won Florida's 25 electoral votes beatto Gore's 266 by Bush's 271.  The effort to show evidence of the bogus count was later thwarted because the  Supreme Court blocked the effort sought by Al Gore to recount the ballots in the state of Florida.  Then the fake war buries Bush recount.

Anyway, the good news was when Florida got hit by hurricanes and ran outta’ water, we got handled with great care… unlike New Orleans which was ignored.  We practically got FEMA to deliver Perrier & pizza to our homes.

I'm right. [:-]

Pretty much the only ones that don't count are the ones that got fucked in Michigan and Florida, and that's both state's Dem party's fault.

polyspride -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 8:52:28 AM)

LEVEL,

You seem to be missing three points, 1. It is so easy to rig two votes out of millions if you want and swing the popular vote like 51/49  (voting is by actual count not percentages so a win by 1 vote not 1 percent is all that is needed to win), and the electoral college can and does ignore popular vote anyhow. 2. We only know of GWB's controversy as it made the press, how many elections were rigged and no one questioned it? Hmmmm, maybe another poll? 3. Also a government that sprays LCD in a subway tunnel waiting area, lies about it, and accepts no responsibility for anything that happened to those involved or effected can not be trusted to be able to count honestly. At least one person died after absorbing it I believe. And a government that makes it illegal for professionals to say any vitamin or mineral can cure any disease is lying and can't be trusted. Go to the hospital with scurvy, a disease, painful at best. You will be given Vitamin C to cure it (only cure that works) but vitamins and minerals don't cure anything, do they?

Level -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 8:58:50 AM)

Not believing a "point" exists is different than "missing" it.

polyspride -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 9:22:18 AM)

You do not believe the government sprayed a NYC subway tunnel with LSD? and denied it for years?

You do not believe that the government (read elected officials are) is more interested in it's friends and it's own wealth than the American citizens well being?

You do believe they have a moral conviction to be honest with the American citizens and the world?

You know about 70%+ or so of all American laws are illegal? As I read the original constitution all laws are to be voted on by the public before becoming law unless it is a matter of national; security. How many laws on the books were voted on by the public? How many laws on the books are a matter of national security? Any discrepancies? Still think all but two elections in history were honest? We elected a bad actor and a peanut farmer, adulterers, liars, thieves, cheats, murders?

We are the only civilized democracy that allows lawyers to hold elected office or to practice law after having been elected and served. That is why a quadriplegic needs a lawyer to get SSI.

Um, do you hold elected office LEVEL?

Aynne -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 9:25:25 AM)

Christ that is depressing Sadist. Thug is the perfect word for it. There is a great new movie coming out with Kevin Spacey about that whole electoral fraud in Florida, called recount. .

polyspride -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 9:33:40 AM)

The fraud on the American public and world done by the American government is the worst crime in history. I'd bet 90%+ of all illnesses are caused by the American government or it's supporters to make money on medical and insurance expenses. Honesty in elections?  I doubt it even at town, county, city or state/commonwealth levels.

Level -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 9:46:48 AM)

Where's my tin foil......

polyspride -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 9:52:53 AM)

What we need is for the American press to pick up for the public at large not the special interests that unfortunately own the press.

SirDominic -> RE: Your Vote Counts................or not!? (5/24/2008 9:52:54 AM)

And don't even get me started on states that use electronic voting machines. They are only as good as the software that runs them and we have NO clue how accurate those machines are.
