I know I can't get any real results, but here goes anyway.

Who is the only person's face to appear on US currency who was not ever a President ?

Now just so y'all understand, in my estimation I would say five people here know this   offhand, three more will find out using Google (within thirty seconds) or something and two do not care.

But elsewhere, like in a bar or something, nine people might think you are a nut because you HAVE to be a President to be on a bill. That last one might ask something, because "I heard something like that before".

Those who do know, right now, do not tell.

I get too much sometimes, I can't handle it all. Like which President appointed Roger B. Taney. Wilson ? I don't remember anymore. (Taft ?)

I would have to go along with Homer Simpson in that we should get President's day seperated again, they gypped us out of a holiday.

And the Man known to many as Jesus Christ was named Joshua bar Joseph and the words jesus and christ are Greek. I was always told and read that he was a Hebrew. And he was indeed most likely the greatest Man who ever lived if even half of what they say about him is true.

But does anyone know His true birthdate ?

I would celebrate that, if nothing else than an extremely exceptional Man, and pacifist. I would appreciate the real date.

This is so funny in a way, they got two of them combined, but in Black history month. Both of them supposedly owned slaves I would say. Is this not ironic ?

But these dates are not set arbitrarily by the government, they are spurred on by happenings. Then adapted.

In other words, I would celebrate Christmas day, if I knew when it was.

Salmon P. Chase---------

is this somehow topical?

Or how 'bout tax day?

DC, the gov't doesn't pay interest on that money.  I want it in my own account a long time before the deadline.

I dunno though.  If the goal is to just get a damn break in that stretch, the idea of a procrastinator's holiday might help us get the Bill through Congress.  Especially if they figure more people might wait to file.

i was all for it...even went looking for a famous person born or deceased near the third week in April...ran into a little snag..Hitler's birthday.  i could just see the skinheads having a hay day every time this 3 day weekend popped up...
Though, we could call it "Luther Vandross" day(his birthday was April 20, too)...i for one, would celebrate it playing CD's and making love all day long...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0pHc705rhI

Yikes.  We're looking at the second Monday, though.  No chance of it falling on the 20th.

Found a couple quick options.  We have Joseph Pulitzer on April 10th, (for Free Speech Day?), or Thomas Jefferson on April 13.

Yes. As long as we get 3 days off. [:D]

I just figured a tax-time holiday might take the sting out of filing.
