Man, this poll is all over the place... 2-seaters, 2+2s, and full-size muscle cars, some with engine specs, some without.... But, still, i've gotta write in my all-time favorite- the Granatelli/Paxton 1960 Chrysler 300F Special Flying Mile car

They haven't made a decent looking Corvette since 1977, the last year before they slapped a curved rear window on it.  Bah!

In the early 1980s I had a roommate who had a 69 Camaro.  Vrooommmmm sweeeet.

I cannot truthfully answer when you do not have the 71-1/2 Chevy Camaro with the split grill, on the list. Though the 69 is fine it is not my pick.

Thanks Level. With gas prices the way they are it is kind of funny that my corvette is my "econmy" car compared to the Lincoln LT p/u I drive. 11 mpg? ouch...

Come on CJ, you can't come up with something more exciting than dragging for titles? Hmmm, I bet I can

So when do we line em up?

Diane

Not to compete with Diane here{she has exceptional/refined taste}.....but as a collector/connoisseur of late 60's, early 70's muscle cars, hands down my choice is the 67 Corvette, tri-power 427cid 4spd car.

In my current collection :

1969 Chevelle SS 396{single Rochester 325hp} Turbo 400 with 3.73 geared 12 bolt. All options

1971 Corvette 454 LS-5 M-21 4spd 336 rear end - Coupe all options car

1969 Corvette  427 {390hp} M-21 4spd 355 rear-end - Coupe all options except air-cond

1972 El Camino {non SS} 350 w/turbo 350 trans 308 rear-end Vinyl top - all options

1960 Chevy Apache Truck 283 w/ 3spd manual w/overdrive 2spd rear-end

1969 AMC AMX - 390 {315hp}w/ Borg-Warner Super T-10 410 posi -Go-pack, all options car

1969 Javelin SST - 390 {315hp} w/Borg-Warner Automatic 354 posi -all options car

1983 Jeep CJ-5 - Chevy 327 Jeep 4spd with conversion kit 33x10.50's with a slight lift - never seen the mud or sand.

1984 - Volkswagen Sirocco Wolfsburg edition 1800 cc 5spd.

All cars except the 1969 Javelin are fully restored and numbers matching. The Javelin's only modification is the 390 was swapped for a built 401cid - The original 390 {disassembled} remains in my possession.

I'd have to say the 82-92 Firebirds are my favorite. But that's due to the fact I had a midnight blue '82 Firbird that was a blast even with the weak 305 engine. Although I have to admit to a bit of lust for the very recent Corvette Z06 cars. Got to ride along in one on a track laid out on a run way. By the time I was thinking 'ok this is where my car tops out' the vette was shifting out of 2nd gear.. and hitting the slaloms at 100+mph. No idea how fast that thing got up to, I was to busy blissing out.
