On May 22, 2008 the SF community lost an excellent author when Robert Asprin creator of the Myth Adventure and Phule's Company series among many other stories passed.
If you have never rread one of the Myth Books you have missed many laughs..

Robert Asprin (1946-2008)
On May 22, 2008, Bob passed away quietly in his home in New Orleans, LA. He had been in good spirits and working on several new projects, and was set to be the Guest of Honor at a major science fiction convention that very weekend. He is survived by his mother, his sister, his daughter and his son, and his cat, Princess, not to mention countless friends and fans and numerous legendary fictional characters. He will be greatly missed.

We've lost too many of the classics and great ones already, I'm not about to ask "who's next". Just keep my eyes open and see what promising new talent may be out there. (Unfortunately, so far I've had to read a lot of crap to get a few good ones....)

Yeah, I heard about this. Terrible. 

I'm hoping that the Myth series will continue. I know that RLA was working in collaberation on the last couple... but even if it does, it won't have his wonderfully "wonky" touch....

Does this mean we'll never find out who Skeeve settles down with? (I was rooting for Bunny...)

Anyone who wants to write or send an email will find the contact information on their web site at http://www.mythadventures.net/ Jody has posted it so that fans can send their condolences to the family et. al. For those in La. where they lived, there is a wake at Fahy's Bar on Toulouse and Burgundy today 9 PM until the last person leaves. If you go, raise one for me..Skeeve and Aahz kept me laughing through some very hard times.
