Status: offline 		Be yourself, don't pretend. Well, you can pretend, but it takes a lot of energy and effort. It's easier to be yourself and that's the best way to find a compatible person. Do you see an interesting profile, journal entry or post? Respond to it, get the conversation started.

But it may also be that she put that on her profile so she wouldn't get the 500+ emails from men that makes it hard for her to seek what she's looking for. In essence, she wants to be the kid choosing the candy, not the Dominant.

If the person you're interested in is someone you see around your community, here is somethin that I've had done to me. Ask around and see who knows the Master you have an eye for. Talk to this person and ask about the Master, see what he's like. If he still appeals to you then ask the person to introduce you. Remember that first impressions are the lasting impression. Talk to him about himself. His likes and dislikes, if he's looking and what he's looking for. He is afterall, a Dominant male and if there's anything a Dominant male should know, it's himself. The astute Master will pick up on the subtle hints of "I like you, beat on my ass" Especially if you're smacking your own ass as he's talking to you. LOL

If you are wanting a Master to notice you online then this is a good way:

What I would add to this is to, again, talk to the Master about himself and what he likes and does not like. In both of these conversations you should be adding in snippets of yourself. If you agree with a view, then say so. If not, then offer him your different point of veiw. This way he sizes you up as you size up him.

Status: offline 		Hmmm weird question...do any of us have to work at getting attention from masters? I thought it was a fairly universal experience for female submissives to be peppered with attention from dominants, wanted or not.

HOW to get attention opens up a huge variety of things...the question is exactly what sort of attention do you really want and to what purpose?

I suppose if ya got 'em, flaunt 'em, but I think dressing and acting like a lady is the way to get a man's attention, initially.

I've seen far too many women, dressed in a way that I wouldn't even walk to my mailbox, and it's less than 10 feet from my front door. Some wear clothes that I would paint the garage in (to come out to meet folks), without seeing a brush or shampoo in days, and not a single hint of makeup in sight. Even more don't bother to wear a bra, when in fact they are probably large enough to have reductions, and surely are all ready for LIFTS! (I think some could tuck 'em in the belt, to give you an image. Are there men that find THAT attractive?)

Then...they complain..."I don't know why men don't look at me." "I don't know why men don't approach me." "I can't get a man to notice me." (In some cases, this goes for sub/slaves ladies, as well as Dommes. It's not exclusive to one group, that's for sure.)

I don't know a single man that enjoys the "frump" style of dressing. Clothes don't make the person, but it helps make them show that they care about themselves, if they are comfortable, yet presentable to others. Men "act" like they don't notice, but I think most men really do!

Although I must say it doesnt work every time.

Personally I would introduce yourself to the master in question. The reason I suggest this is that if you ask someone else about him that other person may not like the master in question (not to mention other possibilites).

I don't know that I would recommend any particular kind of clothing or make-up, although in most cases you would probably get a positive reaction from the outfits described in other replies. For example I prefer less make-up to more (exceptions of course but most of the time), and I'm far more of an ass man than a tits man.

Introducing yourself takes some guts. Be prepared for a response you may not have anticipated or would hope for, but nothing ventured nothing gained.
