Just thought I'd add my pennies worth here. I got to say I'm not really a big fan of big cities either. As far as I can see the only up side is a fuller night life, but then London must be a pretty expensive place to spend your evenings out! Having said that, I would really like to be in a city right now as living here in rural France can be a real drag sometimes! I think that when I do eventually move back to UK I will probably be moving to somewhere in the North, having spent most of my adult life living down South, I feel a change is in order! And its nice to hear that there is a decent BDSM lifestyle community already going on up north! Can't wait!!!

Ummm theres lots of us London people about.. and why would we wanna come out of the closet when we already are? my Master and i are very active on the public scene in London.. Infact London has one of the most vibrant & busy, not to mention friendly BDSM scenes in the world.. Maybe tis you that needs to come out the closet [;)] Welcome to the real world.. [:D]

Get thee over to Informed Consent. It's like CollarMe, but strictly for people in the UK. They have a board set up specifically for London-based kinksters, listing all the action (Munches, Clubs, etc...) happening in London. There are also boards for other cities in the UK, general BDSM boards, and so on. It has everything CM has, but it's made specifically for English people. :)

Thanks everyone (no really, thankyou!) for all your pointers, I had pondered the idea of meeting other londoners and it looks as though there are some very friendly people here, I hadn't really had any idea where to even start looking so this has been a big help. I am mightily intrigued by this munch in London on friday RavenMuse, with any luck I will have the good fortune to see you and anyone else who comes there :)

Yea godz, i don't know. There's more of a London scene than i can shack a stick at! Used to live in London, spend as much time as i am able to there, and it is a city with a very healthy, vibrant collection of groups, markets, fairs and munches. Last time i was there i was at LAM, met a few new folk and picked up some incidentals for the violet wand. It's not as if those folk in London are hard to find you know!!!
