MtPleasantsubAsh -> Wondering if i'm a slave (10/24/2005 9:21:12 AM)

Well...this is my query.
I'm a novice to the life, and am the Owned property of MyLord Richard.
I have had little to no training, in anything other than being submissive.
I obey, and MyLord tell me that i am already broken ......but am I a slave?
I don't have the training, so do i consider myself in between or am i a baby slave or what?

Also....any tips for MyLord...on training a newbie to the lifestyle?

For every person that agrees with you, there will be five who say you are not who you say you are.

You have to decide what slave means to you, and then whether you fulfill that meaning within yourself.

Anything else is just someone's own values. I have a friend who doesn't refer to herself as a slave because of how her definition goes. And yet I consider her a damn good slave, and in some ways better disciplined than I am. Who is right?

Reminds me of an old saying:
"If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, eats like a duck, the chances are...it is a duck." [:)]

Meaning? Do you feel like a slave? Like EmeraldSlave said, you alone can define what you are. Sounds like your master approves of what you do. Some people are naturally born to be a sub or slave, they are just good at following orders and doing what pleases.

And some people are sucky at following orders and learn through training and become excellent slaves.

There's just no saying for sure.

Kinkypupper -> RE: Wondering if i'm a slave (10/24/2005 11:11:45 AM)

I agree with most all the replys here.
My "definition" of a slave..
One who has no safewords, One who has freely given hers/himself to another with out reservation or requirement.

Every "Master" is different and tis true what one is may not be what another is.
The key here tho is that you both are a good "fit" for each other.
As far as "training" that depends a LOT on your Master and his experiance, knowledge, and commitment to you and what they see in you that they wish to bring out.

WickedKev -> RE: Wondering if i'm a slave (10/24/2005 11:13:23 AM)

Do you feel your a slave, forget dwhat definitions people give you or you read, when you look within yourself do you think slave? If you do then that is what you are, now all you need is the training.

TheONEyouneed -> RE: Wondering if i'm a slave (10/24/2005 12:40:19 PM)

There is an interesting thread on this board called "real" Doms. You may find it interesting reading. The same thing goes here. Who can say what a slave is. Rather I enjoy the debate of "what is the difference between a slave and a submissive". The line that is drawn in the minds of people to differentiate between the two is as individual as each of us are.

Is it so important to label yourself? If you and your Master find your relationship pleasing to both, what does it matter what label you would get in someone elses eyes?
If you want to be a slave and your man agrees on that, call yourself a slave and be happy [:)]

anopheles -> RE: Wondering if i'm a slave (10/24/2005 7:41:17 PM)

One person's perfect slave is another person's bratty, insubordinate wannabe sub. We can try to make a written code of "slave" versus "sub", but in real life practice it doesn't work all that well. Mine to many would be unacceptable, because she is opinionated and strong-minded. To me she is perfect. What is important though is that if you are Dominant, to have that property perform the way that it suits you, and for the submissive, to strive to be what your Dominant wants, nothing more, nothing less.

For some who live in other lifestyles too, yes it is vital whet we call ourselves, and what our peers/tribe/clan call us. it is a vital part of wbho and what we are and in many cases it is far more important that life itself. I dont expect many to understand and less to agree, however all you need to accept is that there is a life away from the christian white male/female manifesto or the similar seen in other "mainstream" cultures.. For some of us such things like our real name as different to our use name for the public is a vital part of our living. I have no idea if the OP fits in here but i think my comment is valid when dealing with such thibngs in a forum where there is such a diversity on beliefs and backgrounds.

OscarHargraves -> RE: Wondering if i'm a slave (10/25/2005 11:00:24 PM)

Like ES2 and DrkAngl said. YOU have to decide what you are.

Why seek validation outside of your relationship?

Hello There,
My advice is read, read, read, read. The more you truly study the lifestyle you're living in the better you'll understand yourself.
My two favorite books are Different Loving & slavecraft. Both were very helpful to me. Maybe that would be a good start.

Sincerely,
sub suzanne

MtPleasantsubAsh -> RE: Wondering if i'm a slave (10/27/2005 9:31:32 AM)

Ty A/all for your replys...i was just curious, and relalise that i can only be a slave, as i am His slave and He says that i make Him extremely happy...and so there you have it.
with or without the training.
All i can do is strive to be everything i can be for Him, serving, obeying, and pleasing.
i do wonder...with the safewords issue....MyLord gave me one...and so i keep it.
