It is difficult but universities as do other institutions and individuals need to exist by money.

I went back to get a minor degree from a minor school of learning in something I have been doing for tewnty some odd years. The department chair said that if I had the degree I could have his job as he was retiring and nobody tenured or otherwise could teach me anything worth knowing, if I gave them about 20,000 I could have my degree tomorrow or I would have to take 3 years of basic classes (because of the scheduling) to do the same. I passed on both.

Advancing a degree for real world reasons is not in the system.

If you only want the paper it is kinda easy.

I am unclear as to (fix that preposition PP, please) what it buys you.

oh yeah, in my unbridled passion I neglected to mention that you may either adress me as;
iRon interTubailian master of the interGallactic interStellular Nebuale(my actual degree) ((all those nights studying and drinking whiskey))

or just Ron

'cause that's the kinda guy I am

According to the way things used to be, you earned your titles. This was the accepted ettiquette. Your continued training and learning earned you your title of Master, Mistress, Princess, Grand Master or Grand Mistress..These come with years and years of active participation and learning. Those without these years of learning are Dominants . I respect all, but I don't use honorifics except with those who I serve, if they prefer it. Otherwise, I use their names or scene names. I feel this is the appropriate way but it may not be yours..That's just fine..It's all in where you want to be..

Respectfully,
sultry

P.S. I am now starting to serve with a well known Grand Mistress. She has trained and learned for over 35 years in this lifestyle. I just call her Maam..This is until I find a Dominant..She has earned this title..
