Hi,

I am new to the formal scene and, maybe like many of us, participated in BDSM-like activities informally in past relationships. Currently, I am looking to explore further but am really not sure where to start. I have a few friends from college that are into the scene a bit more professionally that pointed me in the direction of this website, so I figured I would ask here.

I am not looking for some full-time relationship or tribute-type service but, rather, someone who is in a similar position and looking to explore who maybe has experience or not but is looking for a similar partner.

Your profile says that you are in New York, which is home to TES (www.tes.org - the oldest/longest running bdsm group in the US.) Go to their website and check out their resource page for NY events and organizations -- from brunch to spanking clubs, to college-based interest groups. it's all there.

I always joke that if you can't find the kink scene in DC you aren't trying very hard, but if you can't find it in NY, you must be in a coma or something! [;)] Seriously, get out to a few gatherings, stick your toe in the water and meet some people. Good luck!
