Sadista -> fire and hot water (5/27/2008 11:41:45 AM)

I have come to the point where I must set My toys balls on fire. I would like to know the best items to use and the safest way to do this. I am assuming that its far different than pouring 70percent alcohol on my arm letting it burn for 5 seconds then putting it out with a cloth.

And secondly what temperature is to hot to dip the boys balls in water. what I usually do is heat the water then stick My elbow in test sample of it see if its hot but I'm not sure wheither that a good idea for such a sensative part, I mean I don't want to cook them...unless he wants Me to.

Uhhh,  ... how about you find someone local to you that can teach you how to do these things safely.  Trips to the emergency room, and reports to police, because you have injured your partner through ignorance are usually not a fun way to spend Friday night.

As well, have you considered what you want rather than simply what he wants.

I'm not sure what you mean by setting them on fire as there are several ways to achieve this effect. However, do NOT use hot water to put a fire out on a body. The goal is to get the heat out. ALL of the heat and if someone has been severly burned they need to have cold running water over the burned area for at least 10 minutes to make sure the heat is out. Hot water does not do that. DO NOT use ice. Such a drastic change in temp can and often does result in shock and trauma to the area.

As it's been suggested before doing the act of setting them on fire talk to someone local about how to do so safely. DO NOT proceed until you KNOW the ins and outs of this. I'm normally not biggest person in the idea of having to know everything prior to doing something. I'm normally big into the idea of learning from experience. Fire is different. Having been the child of a fire fighter and medic, don't fuck with fire unless you KNOW what you're doing.

In the interests of safety, tie him securely, then perform an erotic dance or something in his full view; this will no doubt set his balls on fire, without the need to use a flame. If you inform him prior to this that if he doesnt control himself he will be in hot water, you have both aspects covered without any occasion for injury.

More seriously though - consider also where you intend to do this. Its all very well to take every precaution not to harm him permanently, but its not much use if you end up setting the house on fire; lots of household fabrics go up a treat from a smoulder to an inferno in a very short time.

maybe you should first try setting your nipples on fire, just for practice and to see what he might go through when his balls are burning.  you also might want to make sure you pull your hair back too...[8|]

I find a quick naked limbo over the backyard barbeque pit generally does the trick.

Serve a nice side of chilled cole slaw immediately after the initial singe.

Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls Of Fire!

You are looking for fireplay. Look into it, and learn the safety and attend a demo before you even consider doing so on someone elses body. Keep in mind a mistake is unchangable, and since you did state you do not want to cook your boy, the only way to learn how to safely handle fire is to be taught by someone who already knows. That is not something you can learn online.

MissDiandSirHugh -> RE: fire and hot water (5/28/2008 4:40:59 PM)

Why not just use Deep-Heat or one of those sort of products all over his balls, then see his reaction to that before even considering going into fire play or very hot water.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: fire and hot water (5/28/2008 4:54:16 PM)

A friend of ours showed us the second degree burns he got on his arm from magician's fire paper~~the stuff that goes poof!  He and his wife were VERY surprised at how severe the burns were, since they didn't feel like any big deal at the time.

Have someone who KNOWS teach you, and start with a less vital area, is my recommendation.

I've never seen anyone do fireplay on genitals.  I've always seen it only being performed on backs and buttocks, etc.  The alcohol & flame is normally wiped away as part of the process by the top.  I'm a sub, so have only watched and observed how it was being done.  I don't think a male's genitals would lend themselves very well to this kind of play, at least not in the manner that I've always seen it done by those whom I highly respect locally in the lifestyle. [8|]

That doesn't mean it couldn't be done, only that I've never seen it done and would definitely expect a domme to consult someone who's very experienced with fire play and have them mentor her before allowing her to try that kind of play on me. [&:]

Skully7000 -> RE: fire and hot water (5/29/2008 2:48:33 AM)

I have never seen nor heard of a persons genitals being lit on fire. Only having the fire pass under/over them or having them burned by touching something hot to them (ie: keeping a lighter lit for a few seconds the touching the hot metal to the penis)

but again that is only what i have HEARD of... definitly take the time to learn how to play the right way...know the risks involved and how to best acheive the goals you want in as controlled a manner as possible.

Cheers
Skully

I'll second this.  Whenever I teach fireplay to small groups I have the participants use parts of their own bodies for practice.  It gives them valuable feedback on several levels

In the case of the OP, I'd advise against igniting balls.  Fireplay is best done on a flat surface so that the fire is always located above the skin.  With a ball, it is almost inevitable that the alcohol will flow so that the fire is burning below where the skin is.  This can lead to very serious burns.

Oh, five seconds is pretty long under perfect circumstances.  I rarely allow burning for more than a second or two

Well, speaking of hair, make sure your toy SHAVES.

I'm not advocating the idea if you don't have a proper teacher for the experience, but it can be done.

Thanks John for jumping in and sharing your expertise.  What you've described was what I was alluding to, but didn't have the right words or knowledge to explain.  I've only seen it done on essentially flat surfaces with the sub laying face down and the top wiping the flame away before any burns resulted from the play.  [&:]

At the time I was writing my initial reply, In my mind I was visualizing the alcohol running down his scrotum with no easy way for the top to wipe the flame away, thus potentially causing serious burns. [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m13.gif[/image]

Your visualization was right on point.  In a way we use an illusion, since most people see fire as radiating heat in all directions, but in reality the vast majority of the heat is directed upward.  Fried Rocky Mountain Oysters are delicious but I don't think that's what the OP had in mind

so i'm curious:

why is it that big a deal. in my wild days I have burnt the hair off my fingers or patches of my arm or back of the hand etc etc. nothing major or serious... besides the smell and a bit of ashen hair fragments...

so why is it such a big deal to shave? wouldn't the first pass just burn it all away?

DelilahDeb -> RE: fire and hot water (5/29/2008 11:56:50 PM)

Burning hair off is
1) smelly, and not a pleasant smell
2) apt to flare, with potential to catch things on fire you don't want on fire
3) impossible to limit/control (think of a forest fire going to a crownfire)

Exactly.

MaamJay -> RE: fire and hot water (5/30/2008 3:13:40 AM)

Totally agreed on both the shaving and the danger of performing fireplay on balls! Way too dangerous a surface being curved and with folded wrinkly skin ... total disaster as the alcohol flows into all those nooks and crannies and the fire follows! Stick to flat surfaces such as backs (even buttocks can be dodgy) ... the front of the thighs (but a few inches down from the dangly bits) can be done if the sub wants to see it. I also agree that this is NOT something to learn online, find someone experienced who can show you how and give you all the necessary hints and tips. It's as important for the Dominant to overcome their own qualms about fire too, they need to be totally confident with snuffing it out and with handling their fire sticks and fluids safely. Also have a towel soaking in a bucket of cold water on hand, and do be careful about fabrics and surfaces.

Re hot water, generally water that isn't hotter than a baby's bottle should be fairly safe, though everyone has different responses to temperature. Believe him if he says it's too hot or reacts bodily that makes you believe that! Don't rely on testing it with your hand as hands get desensitized through putting them in hot water to do dishes etc. The elbow test might be reasonable as long as your elbow hasn't become desensitized too! I have seen low-temp wax used on balls without harm so warm to hot water should be ok.
