Now that is a shame - Cook was a stunningly good artist, who portrayed quite a bit of true Humor in her work.
She'll also always be remembered as an inspiration to those of us who started as artists "late" in life rather than as overpraised children - and who are self taught rather than having shelled out untold amounts of money for classes. I personally found her a great inspiration due to both of those things - I'm self taught (though nowhere as good as she was) and didn't even get started until I was almost 40....
