MercTech -> Here's a sign... (5/28/2008 6:23:22 PM)

  I spotted this outside a theater in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Am I the only one that got a chuckle out of this change to the usual phrasing of "Speed Bump".

Yeppers around PA too.  i often wonder if it is a warning, a command, or an offer.  i just look around and see who might be standing near the sign,

LioninDiguise -> RE: Here's a sign... (5/29/2008 6:40:11 AM)

    I've got a couple of those near my house.  The neighborhood kids like to sneak out at spray in an 'at'.   The results being  'Speed Hump at 15mph'

I'd get pictures..but the replaced them the other day. I'll share when It happens again.

It was good for me... did you feel anything?

Emperor1956 -> RE: Here's a sign... (5/29/2008 11:11:25 AM)

My favorite road sign?   I see this every time I drive I-94 North of Chicago to Racine or Milwaukee.

Once, while driving in Canada, I saw a sign that said "Elderly Crossing." It was one of those yellow signs with black figures and the two figures were of a slightly stooped old man with a cane and a even more stooped old woman with a walker. I shit you not! It was in the vicinity of an old folks home. Wish I had taken a picture.

You see the pics of the elderly with 'Crossing' or 'Beware' underneath near retirement homes all over the place in Sydney (Australia)

Saratov -> RE: Here's a sign... (5/30/2008 5:01:41 PM)

Why?  Are the elderly dangerous there? [sm=ofcourse.gif]   [sm=needahug.gif]

KMsAngel -> RE: Here's a sign... (5/30/2008 5:13:29 PM)

well, y'know, we all hang upside down way down under here. gravity is a cool thing! when the elderly are upside down, ya gotta watch for falling teeth, toupe's, cane's, etc [:D]
