FBI files indict Bush, Cheney and Co. as war criminals
http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/node/33684

The most stunning revelation in a 370-page Justice US Department Inspector General’s report released this week was that agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation had formally opened a “War Crimes” file, documenting torture they had witnessed at the Guantánamo Bay US prison camp, before being ordered by the administration to stop writing their reports.

70 days! Think about it...

Find a better source and I might believe it...

It's not the first time a socialist website (literally) accuses Bush of war crimes.

how about we just send bush and congress to the farm and be done with it?  i'm getting tired of it all.  and oh boy, goody!  when the next "elected" president takes office, we can hear shit about him/her for the next four years...i'm literally underwhelmed.

Isn't this the 3rd "Bush is Bad" thread you've started today?  Or was it in 2 days?  Either way, you have a negative Bush fixation which might need medicine to overcome.   Now, go grab a Bush lite, find a girl who'll let you do naughty things to her bush and try not to think of the bad bush for a while.  Its really got to be bad for your health.

It will be interesting to see what happens when his presidential protection vanishes as he steps down.

I know, it's like the dead horse can't be beaten any further into the ground, but yet we keep beating and beating and beating.

Because the report was widely cited in the media and easily accessed as a pdf file on the Internet, it is fair to assume that those of our citizens who remain ignorant of the extent of their government's commitment to torture as an official policy have made a choice not to be informed.

Gee, sound like anyone we know...?

Thats when his "expresidential protection" takes over.  These guys get secret service protection for something like 10 or 15 years after they get out.  Then they still have enough money to buy a small army of security personnell who will be more than up to the job of taking out most nutjobs.

Nothing...what do you expect to happen?

People said the same about Kissinger and nothing happened to him. The Europeans have wanted to charge him with war crimes for decades.

The United States is not part of any world criminal court.

The security matters not. His ability to avoid  federal scrutiny and prosecution is what interests me the most. His civil service protection doesn't go that far. The stonewalling days will end.

Why in the world should we let anyone that commits actual crimes against his fellow man off the hook? These are crimes involving torture, violence, maiming, murder, etc. against many, many people all over the world.

Honestly, what is wrong with some of you?

You are missing the point,he has been up to a lot of no good domestically as well. And he won't be able to cover his ass any more.

And we should be proud of this why?

These are not ordinary crimes. They are extraordinary. These crimes require special attention.

An attention span longer than that of the average U.S. citizen is required.

My apologies...

But Sugar, it's so much easier to keep heads buried in the sand, and arses up in the air. Best way to get screwed. How dare you remind the threads of the facts?

Ignorance is bliss.

Someone's gonna get an anurism from all this Bush-hate stuff.  When you work so hard to hate someone its gotta be bad for your health.

cpK69 -> RE: FBI files indict Bush, Cheney and Co. as war criminals (5/29/2008 3:50:45 PM)

I understand the purpose of your posts, and agree with your point, but the approach is much like killing a virus, one germ at a time.

Understanding your strongest adversary is key; Bush isn’t it.

The majority of the country doesn't like GW.  He's been a major fukkup.  Rehashing the same things over and over isn't going to change anything though.  They have gotten away with some serious shit.  They have been accused of some serious but unsubstantiated shit.  In seven months they'll be just has been shit.
In all honesty they're probably not guilty of half the shit people accuse them of and they're not being accused of half the shit they're guilty of.  That is probably true of every administration this country has ever had.

slaveboyforyou -> RE: FBI files indict Bush, Cheney and Co. as war criminals (5/29/2008 4:00:35 PM)

Y'all do realize that seven months is plenty of time to invade Iran?  I am kind of worried about Bush and Co. hoping for one last shot at greatness before they hand over the keys.

This is a lot like a fungus. Bush is only a sporing body. I want to see them go after him, becuase I want the roots traced back. I want the puppet masters exposed-instead of being able to lurk in the shadows-pulling more of the same shit behind the scenes in the next administration.
