Thanks for everyone who high-fived and sent warm wishes on the 24/7 thread. It indeed has been a while, but I'm so very glad to see so many familiar faces still around.
Here's the 60 second quick and dirty where the hell have you been answer:
Sir and I bought a house. I lost a job 2 weeks after buying house. I Got better job 2 weeks later. We immediately had to do a major lawn project in new house, which I thought would take a Saturday afternoon, which in actuality took 6 weeks of evenings and weekends. (Toto, we aren't in Kansas anymore) We spent most of the rest of summer learning what the suburbs, weeds and gardens were all about. In the fall came another major house project we thought would take a weekend but ended up being 3 weeks, and then another one that had the same estimate but bite of reality. And then Christmas hit, and then we went on the most fabulous vacation of my life and now I'm here. Oh and we played a time or two in there ~grin~.
All in all, it's been wonderful. I'm glad to be back and see so many people I remember and make some new friends.
