I'm a tad confused today.  I went to my inbox and received a message from a submissive boy whom I've been speaking to fairly frequently.  When I saw his name it was 'dark' in my inbox.  It wasn't the same dark blue as dominants, but it wasn't the light blue I've come to associate with submissives either.  It was a strange dark color that I am not quite sure if it is dark grey or another odd shade of dark blue.  When I read the message, I double checked the mini profile it brings up and he is still identified as submissive.

Is this occuring with others?  Is CM trying to subdivide our identities further?  Anyone know?

was it purple?

Domin8tingUrDrmz -> RE: C-Mail (5/29/2008 6:30:17 PM)

Nope.  Wasn't purple.  That is for Couples, right?  That's why I'm confused.  It was a new color I haven't seen before.  Almost black, but not quite.

Ok, now it's back to light blue.  WTF?  That had to be some type of fluke, I don't know.  I just asked him if he switches his identity on here.  I still say it wasn't the same dark blue as dominant males, and I don't recall switches having their own color.

Switches are indeed light blue.

Sub males are light blue also.

Domin8tingUrDrmz -> RE: C-Mail (5/29/2008 6:41:51 PM)

Yes, male switches and male submissive share the light blue.  As female subs and switches share the pink.  What I was saying was I did not think that switches had a separate color all their own.  The one that confused me was the dark shade of grey.  Now that it is light blue again, I'm happy ...it's normal.  lol.  But, I still have that ONE freaky message in the dark shade which makes no sense.

lusciouslips19 -> RE: C-Mail (5/29/2008 6:49:29 PM)

Sometimes the shade is off. I have looked at my inbox and seen messages from sub females that were a different shade of pink than the one under it. Just a glitch with the color being slightly off.

I'm guessing that's the case, but the shade went from light to 'really dark' hence the confusion.

Thanks everyone for trying to help me figure it out.

I just LOVE when a question gets answered and makes sense!

As I mentioned, I asked him if he changed identities.  His reply was this "no never. I sent one of the messages from my iPhone - this one as well. I had no idea there was color coding."

So, for anyone else who may experience this odd phenomenon, it may very well be a person sending a message from a source other than their pc.

YAY!  It makes sense!  [:D]
