I'm curious, indulge me...

Do you wear a collar? Is it a sign of ownership or does it signify something else. Is it something you wear every day, or is it an occasional adornment? Has anyone vanilla ever commented or questioned it? Is there anything you'd want us to know about it?

I wear a collar that was offered to me, with my contract, 2.5 years ago. Sir made it and put it in a  hand crafted box that I kept. It's needed several tweaks and a few repairs. We went through several clasps until we found one that didn't get knoted up in my hair. It is of braided black leather with a rare earth magnetic clasp.

I remove it only when I shower, and return it to my neck immediately after drying. I wear it every day, regardless of what I'm wearing. It goes with everything, regardless of whether it matches or not.

I remember when he first presented it to me, and I began to wear it.I was delighted but very nervous about what would happen if someone asked me why I wore the same necklace every day. Needless to say, I'm still waiting...

Yes, I wear his collar, but only when he decides I will wear it.  Usually it is only for lifestyle type events.  He made it and it is marked with his symbol for me.

There was once that we stopped at a video store on the way home from an afternoon munch and Alandra and I were still in collar.  The kid behind the counter was pierced multiple places, had pink or purple hair that was spiked all over the place and dressed somewhat unusually...  he made a comment about the collars.  Alandra's response was that "they are not for fashion" and we just smiled, paid and left.

I thought it highly ironic that we have been in public with collars many times and the only non lifestyle person to make a comment about them was some goth/punked out kid who looked way more outlandish than either Alandra or I.  I am not sure if he envied the collars or thought it strange that two women who were rather conservatively dressed had on thick leather collars with padlocks.

For every day, I wear a silver necklace and kitty cat charm that  he gave to me.  I often get compliments on the charm especially from fellow cat lovers.  That usually sparks a short conversation about our cats and how much we enjoy them  *g*

I wear my Owner's Collar.  It's a symbol of her ownership and of my status as property.  I wear it everyday, and at this point the only way to take it off would be for me to cut it off.  It's simple enough to be worn discreetly and without people even knowing that it's a collar.  At this point it's a tight fitting hemp necklace with my engagement ring around it.

I wear a titanium collar 24/7, which is a symbol of his ownership.  It's actually a short, fairly thick "chain" necklace, but not quite a choker.  I posted a picture of it as an additional pic on my profile, but it may take awhile to be uploaded.  One girl at a former job said, "It looks like a collar."  I said "It is." and that's all that was said about it.

Sometimes people comment on my "unique" necklace.  Other than that, it is not questioned.

Edited to add:  Regarding being asked why I wear it every day.  I usually just say it has special meaning to me.

Do you wear a collar? Answer: Yes.

Is it a sign of ownership or does it signify something else. Answer:  Ownership by and service to my Master.

Is it something you wear every day, or is it an occasional adornment? Answer: Everyday.

Has anyone vanilla ever commented or questioned it?  Answer: No.  No one else sees me wearing it.  i only wear it inside the house.

Is there anything you'd want us to know about it?   Answer: It's very heavy and beautiful, to me.  It's comfortable and comforting to wear it.  He put it on me the first day i came to meet Him.  i miss it when it's not on me.

Edited to add:  It's His decision that i only wear it inside the house.

I wear a silver necklace he gave me. It's rather close around the neck, and bears a ring he gave me many years ago. It's worn as a symbol of ownership, and doesn't come off. I got a few comments at first because it is different from what I have worn before (I wore the same necklace for most of the previous 20 years or so), but no overt questions.

I have a beautiful leather collar with a shiny padlock. It is definately a symbol of ownership. I wear it quite often, but never around people that I work for, or family. I live in a small rural north Florida town. Surprisingly, alot of people know what it is. I've been asked about it, and where I got it by couples that wanted one. And it seems to work quite well as Bubba repellent. I wear it when I go out, and they keep their distance.

Fox wears one all the time. He has commented about his. He has gotten a few random comments here and there about it. His family makes a few, and various friends and strangers. His is simple, and not anything that the average vanila teenager couldnt find fashinable, so it passes easily under the radar. He has 2 others, as well, one leather for playtime and one chain for pictures and possibly playtime at some point.

Angel has a formal collar that he only wears when specifically requested to do so. He wore it symbolically the day I collared him, and since has worn it twice for me. It doesnt fit well, becasue he is so tiny, and the metal on his skin is not comfortable. I have no problem with him being unadorned, since his starting to wear jewelry after 23 years of hating it becasue of how sensative he is to touch would definately be seen as bizarre.

For me, the worst feeling in the world was the day i took my collar off. That was the moment my mind and spirit knew that my Domina was gone and not coming back. i wore that collar 24/7 for several year, other than when i would put on my armor for SCA combat.
i've come to realize that the collar is a big sense of security for me, nothing in life made me feel more secure, cared for, and loved than when she had a leash on my collar. But then, i don't submit as a game, for me it's a deep down, in my soul kind of a thing. My Domina marveled at times that a tiny, beautiful Lady such as herself could have a 300 LB weightlifter at her feet, and that i was at my happiest there.
i really do look forward to the day that i am collared again to someone, so that my life will once again be feel complete, i will have the security of knowing that i belong to someone, i serve her, and she in return gives me what i need, a strong, loving guiding hand (not to mention the paddle hehe).

Sincerely and with respect,
Rick

My collar is a thick, double linked stainless steel chain type with a sterling silver lock.  It is a symbol of Mistress's ownership of me and my submission to Her, Her love for me and my love for Her, and my place in Her life and Her place in mine.  It is a one of a kind...no one else has Her collar.  It shows me how much I am loved, it shows me my place, and it shows me who owns me.  I wear it with pride for the rewards of such an honor are not easily attained.  There are many wonderful dommes out here, but there is only one Mistress...and only Her collar adorns my neck.

I wear it everyday, 24/7.  It doesn't matter if I go to the grocery store, hang out with friend or family, take a shower, or if I'm at work, I wear it everywhere.  I'm proud of it and it's symbolism and give the exact meaning behind it to those who ask.  It looks more like "alternative jewelry, so it "blends" well with my style.    Hey, if women can show off their engagement rings, why can't I show off the symbol of love between Mistress and me?  I've had a few curious comments and stares, but nothing negative.  Positive comments are always welcome and appreciated, but negative ones are usually met with a curt, unpleasant reply!

The collar i wear now, an Axsmar Talena, stainless steel and locking, is edition number2, not only the one i have always wanted, but the one that will stay in place for the rest of my life. The first one i wore was removed for an MRI scan, and both have been removed by me once apiece so that Master Andy could be sure i could do so in an emergency.

Why do i wear a collar? Not because we need it to signify that i belong body and soul to Master Andy, but because it gives us something tangible to denote our relationship, like a wedding band does for others. With or without it i am all His, no question in either of our minds, it doesn't deepen what we have between us, more acts as a visible seal, something for others to understand, as well as me to touch when i am alone and in need of a little reassurance.

Personally i do not worry about what others think about my choice of bodily adornment, i wear a deal of unusual and unique jewellery anyway, so the collar blends in nicely. Some have asked it's significance, and they have been told simply what it means to us, no drama.

i will never have another Master other than Andy, and no matter what befalls us my collar will always be where it is now.

i wear 2 different collars - one metal (the permanent collar since Jan 16, 07) and a leather one (which Daddy gave me on Valentine's Day).

the metal collar is one of many symbols of His ownership of me ...i view it as our lifetime commitment to each other and when wearing it, i blend in so easily with the rest of the metalhead/punk rock crowd. i was asked by a clerk in a Dollar Store about it recently. i'm not ashamed to say "Daddy gave it to me" despite getting weird stares and snickering from my own race.

wearing my leather one - i get 2 different types of compliments from bands, fans and strangers. those in the kink know tend to say "nice collar ...where did you find that?" while on the other hand, those not in the kink know will say "what a beautiful necklace". i like wearing my leather to the Goth/Vamp/Industrial rock shows with my leash - just for fun while reviewing.

both collars are worn 24/7/365 and are only removed when showering, visiting family and relatives and/or deemed necessary.

He probably wanted to know where he could get one, I get that a lot with most of my clothing choices... I think its great that fashion has done that, certainly less grief for the rest of us :P

i wear a stainless steel collar that i have had on for two years now.  Never comes off.  i do have some comments about it now and then.  in the public setting i just say it is an eternity necklace from my Husband.  Unless someone really knows what it is they usually only say "oh wow".   i have had lots of women say they love it.  It is a problem at the airport.  i am always searched.  i tell security i am going to set the alarm off, before i ever go through.  Have had no problems.  A few ask if i wouldn't rather take it off.  Then i have to say, i can't get it off.  It's locked on with an allen screw.  i would feel really strange and lost if i had to take it off.  It means as much to me as the wedding band on my finger.

I'm curious, indulge me...

Do you wear a collar? Yes, a gold circlet around my neck for every day. I heavy leather collar for play. I have an assorment of pretty more delicate leather collars if we are just going out to an event or if he wants me in leather instead. One is of the delicate ones is a locking collar.

Is it a sign of ownership or does it signify something else. I am not "officialy" collared. The necklace/collar I wear now symbolizes that I am his and we are together but we are still learning each other. A locked every day collar will come in time.

Is it something you wear every day, or is it an occasional adornment? Pretty much every day but sometimes i forget or if sick it stays off.

Has anyone vanilla ever commented or questioned it? the gold one never, actually I;ve never had the leather ones questioned either.

Is there anything you'd want us to know about it? Don't understand the question sorry

My collar will only be removed when in the shower, in the pool or at my massuese. OR if needed for a health thing.

PL

Collars to me, are more of fashion than anything.   Though, I am learning about this lifestyle, more may be added.

I have worn a spiked leather collar in ALL aspects of my life.   Though, haven't worn it in many months.   In fact, just unburried it from the bottom of one of many boxes in the closet.

Collars mean completely different things to each and every one of us. i have a play collar that i wear mostly for clubs but also when He decides it would please Him to see me in it because it suits me. Its a deep leather affair which wouldn't be suitable for everyday wear.. and is one that i owned before i met Him.
That collar has no meaning, other than as an identifier that i am submissive. It has raised some funny looks when i've been out and about in general public wearing it, but nobody has said or asked anything.
As far as my status goes.. i am an Owned girl, but i am not collared, and not desperate to become such. To me a collar would make me no more Owned than i am presently.. i see a meaningful collar as being a symbol of a strong, deep and serious commitment, something i would not take lightly.
