Well, i just thought i add my two bob cents so i thought i start this topic.. Since there is a question on what is the perfect sub on the "ask a Mistress thingy..." why not we have our say on the matter, so subbies and slaves here is your chance to be heard...[sm=seesaw.gif]

My Owner is the perfect Mistress.  She's everything I could want in somebody and tons of things I didn't even know I wanted.  I wouldn't change her for the world.  She amazes me more and more every day.

....does not exist.  On the line where reality and illusion clash those imperfections show.  If you look for the perfect anything..sub..domme..switch..you will never find anyone to fill those shoes.  Sadly too many people do not realize that..and never find a partner.

Whilst I understand people like to use and entertain the notion, I believe it dangerous.
If someone feels perfection exists, they must therefore find that person flawless and that mistakes will never occur.
 
Perfection by definition is without flaw or defect.
It is nothing more than the representation of a an otherwise nebulous concept.

For me, I believe more in unicorns than perfection.

I think it's semantics...few people of any brainpower literally mean "perfect" in this sort of discussion...they mean "right for me" or something along those lines. I know I do, anyway.

Like I said, I can understand that people use it, but it is a totalmisrepresentation - don't you think?
If you have the 'perfect s-type' already - then there is no need to help them grow, no need to nurture, no need gude to improve anything - would that not be boring?
If you are the perfect dominant, that leaves it open to all types of abuse because then, you would not make any mistakes, there would be no right to question.

Language is fluid, and I think the strict definition of perfect as "without flaw" has long since taken second or third seat to the more common ideas of "right for an individual" or "representation of an ideal". It's only a misrepresentation if people are using that literal definition, and I seriously doubt anyone is.

Language evolves, but you cannot make a word into something that it is not.  Many words have multiple meanings and can even be taken by minorities and constructed into something it is not - take the word 'slave' as a classic example.  Perfection is not one of those words.  It isn't fluid.
And I do not apologise for believing people who use it are wrapped up in unrealistic expectations.

I am not foolish enough to assume Darcy thinks I am perfect for him - in fact I know he does not think me perfect - thank the godz.  I have no desire to live up to such an expectation and besides, I yearn to grow, to become so much more than I am now - and he sees that in me and loves to be part of that process though his authority.  I adore Darcy.  I love and cherish him - even to the point of worship.  But to think him flawless would be to deny his humanity and to let him down in every sense because he does not wish to be perfect.  With it, there would be no room to grow and that would be boring and incredibly pointless.
 
I also do not 'get' popularity contests - which this - and the ones that it was emulating - is essentially.  Why would I have a need or desire to announce his perfection?  I am with him.  That is all that need to be.  I pretty much let people know that He is all that matters in my life, along with my children - and it's healthy and truthful to admit that we both fail at times, that our imperfection makes our relationship rock.  Truth shines, and illuminates the casting shadows of false perfection.

I like this line a lot.  One of the nicest things Master has said to me was that he didn't want perfection, he wanted me.  I'm pretty hard on myself when I make a mistake or fail in some way - he is clear that he does not want this and it's made it so much easier for me to learn and accept and evolve.  His acceptance of me with my faults and quirks is beautiful.

Answering and having to be put on the spot for the Noble Lady from the Nordic region most respected GoddessTeaze i will have to agree with most wise answers that i was given. There is no such thing as "perfection". Each person as i stated many times comes with his or her individualities and personalities. Along the way some of us may had some bad times and may come with obstacles such as hurt feelings or disappointing experiences from past and may show some effects in the stages of settling in to our new partners. The only aspects of perfection that i would be seeking in a relationship would be compatibility. As a fellow member has stated there are relationships here which they do show as perfect FOR EACH OTHER. That doesn't mean that they could be the same with other members if they where to join. i also believe that there is an element of life expectance. i believe that there can be an end to everything. Out own life has an end. Nothing can last for ever, even if we don't want that end to come it comes in very unexpected ways.

Yeah, we can close this thread and everybody can go home, because I've already won the whole Perfect Mistress lottery.

First off, she's devastatingly intelligent and razor-witted.
Secondly, she's sexy as all get-out. Oh my freakin' gods, hot.
On the tertiary level, she's a Domme who knows what she wants, and a lot of those wants are very dirty, very mean, and she wants them from/to do them to me.
She's interested in, in fact demands, my input and feelings.
She's an artist, a scholar, and a warrior.
She could easily throw me around a room like a ragdoll.
She's kind and noble and heroic.
Her favorite comic book character is Big Barda.

perfection for me would be someone who accepts me for who I am, scars and all. Someone strong in both heart and mind. Someone who shares my interests. Lets me persue/wont interfere with my music career. Someone who will use me sadistically, but then care for me after.
