You're describing an American 'mall'. In England, for example, there are as many shops dedicated to men's sartorial needs, as there are to women's, if not more, actually. And many shops cater for both genders and are multisexual. In Italy, men look positively gay, they're so groomed, compared to their butch yank counterparts.

Damn - never realized that my father, both grandfathers, all 4 great-grandfathers, and most of my male aquaintances were metrosexuals! It's utterly meaningless when push comes to shove. BTW Dominic, I know a few of those ballcap wearing ones that never seem to take them off. Yes, a couple of them DO seem to wear one even to sleep - but they aren't what any of us would call the brightest bulbs in the box, and they're very definately "proud rednecks" who seem to think being uneducated, ill mannered, chauvenistic slobs is somehow a Good thing... (Pad - I wanna see a pic of you in that itallian suit.... leer)

Perhaps you don't feel that way, but all things considered, you are at an advantage with your gender and skin colour, in the society you live in. Count yourself lucky :-).

Is it an advantage when people perceive it as such? No underdog, no ability to surprise anyone, they expect you to be this way. No excuses.

Dun know why, unless people are somehow percieving the primary photo as more "macho" or "dominant" in some manner. Ya look damn good in a suit...

When I hear Metrosexual what I envision is more then the packaging. I think a certain mind set goes along with the look, and for me not a favorable one. Of course this is only my oppinion but many times what I get from it is feminine, more politically correct. For the most part if I hear Metrosexual it's an instant loss of interested on My end.

Sure, if your a white man with money.... If you need a student loan, student grant, buisness loan, business grant, unemployment, or plan on paying taxes, I fail to see where any such advantage exists. Many of my problems and financial struggles would have been easily solved by checking the African-American box.
