No. I don't carefully plan a scene ahead of time. To me, that seems like Wile E. Coyote coming up with some complicated, devious plan to catch the road runner. You're just inviting things to NOT go the way you are hoping.

Rather, I go into a particular scene telling myself, and sometimes my sub, what the intent of our encounter will be. It may be just to have a great time seeing how well s/he obeys orders, or we may go into it with me thinking about practicing my rope work, or maybe this next time together is to see how well they stay in the role of a pony, or a puppy. At most, I'll think about what I might need to do a particular intent, or what I can do to set the right mood... music, lighting, insence... that sort of thing.

Man I would be in huge trouble if I had the one toybag rule. LOL

I have basicly 3-4 kits and depending on what I intend to do as far as play I may have to bring 2-3 bags.
It's really not as bad as it sounds. I have a rather large set of fireplay toys they stay in a seperate kit.
My needle and cuttig kit is still small and fits in the main kit
Ten there is a pile of stuff that can be thrown in the bag if I intend to do extenssive deep impact play mostly because those toys take up so much space.

Cuffkinks -> RE: Planning a scene (6/2/2008 5:53:56 AM)

   A definite plan...no. A basic guideline is what I come up with in My mind. Always leaving room to go in a different direction if I see something in My little girl that I want to persue.
  There was an elaborate kidnap/rape scene that I played out with a girlfriend many years ago. That took some definite planning because of everything involved. But for Me, that's a rarity. I prefer to just follow My insincts.

I plan what toys to bring... thats as far as I get

Also Aanakaris, great avatar!

Thank you. I have always been a fan of egyptology and hieroglyphics. My graduation present to myself will be a page I have chosen from the book of the dead tatood between my shoulders.

I've seen that many people have similar opionions to myself. I plan ahead as far as what toys to bring should I be travelling and to have a strong understanding of the safety issues involved. But as far as planning everything out, no way. I let my own desires and the pleasurable torment of my subs lead the way. Why break a good moment up because it didn't fit some preconceived idea in my head? To paraphrase a quote, The journey is better than the destination

*grinning*

I need to challenge you.. next event we are both at -- one night, no bag... how about that?  *grin* Actually, I know you can do that...

In any case, my one bag personal rule is going to change as I've really started to use rope.. and THAT takes up a ton of space...

Archer -> RE: Planning a scene (6/2/2008 9:05:32 AM)

Oh I certainly have the scene in the pockets stuff too,LOL
Only scene with what you have in your pockets.

Those can be a real fun time

FRSguy -> RE: Planning a scene (6/2/2008 9:06:03 AM)

I plan it with option... So if I have planned a certain thing and it dosnt appear as though its the thing to do for whatever reason then I usually have a backup... I dont plan out every detail but the dungeon equipment to be used and in what order is generally thought out and of course what kind of goal I want to achive.

MidMichCowboy -> RE: Planning a scene (6/2/2008 7:46:45 PM)

I'm a programmer. I have to study, plan and execute programs that are very complex, step by step. I am a father, I plan for my ummmms. When I find a lady, I will plan surprises or nights out or vacations, but as for the rest ... passion rules baby. I have no idea what is going to happen. That is when the barbarian comes out .. no one controls him.

LadyPact -> RE: Planning a scene (6/3/2008 12:04:52 AM)

Yeah, I wouldn't do well with the 'one bag' rule.  I may not use everything I bring, but it's there if I want it.

It's only on a very rare occasion that I will plan a scene.  If I intend to do a particular thing, like turning My boy into My version of his own cake for his 40th birthday, that's pretty much the plan.  To Me, that's just a pre-conceived notion in My head.  Not something I've scripted out.
