Actually, might be helpful for others: there's a useful prog setup which I use.

You create a password protected encrypted folder called say "ConfidentialFiles" with a password, say "confidential".

Anyone can see it's there and your explanation, if needed, is that you've put some company confidential stuff in it. (So you put a handful of files there which you might reasonably be able to call confidential).

But inside the encrypted folder you create another encrypted folder which has a different password - say "pervystuff".

If anyone (from IT for example, or a manager) tells you to open the secure encrypted folder you just open it with "confidential" and they can see the company files - and that's all they see.

But if, when you open it, you use "pervystuff" as the password then the different part opens and you see your personal stuff.

The whole folder (ConfidentialFiles, with company stuff and your stuff) is totally encrypted and all IT can see is a folder with something in it; which if needed you can show them.

I suppose it's like having a locked drawer with a secret compartment inside; what you get at depends simply on which key you use. You can quite reasonably have a locked drawer and explain it's to keep company stuff safe. If you open it with the silver key people can just see the petty cash box. But if you open it with the gold key you see the naked cj pics.
