i almost wish CollarMe had not added this feature; i get viewed by some pretty strange members and lots of P/pl i'd never have anything to do with.  On the other hand, They can't know that without reading my profile, so i guess it's really no biggie.
 
A/anyone else finding his sometimes a bit --well -- confusing?

It doesn't mean a thing. I've noticed that there's a wider spectrum of people viewing my profile since I started posting in the forums though, but I certainly don't attach any meaning to it.

No, I couldn't care less. I don't know why it bothers anyone. You might want to rethink the "pretty strange members" thing. This IS a deviants site after all. We're ALL strange.

I just viewed you.  I hope you're not offended.  The majority of people that I view are people that post here.  Sometimes I will click on a profile just because the name is unusual.  It's just random, and I wouldn't worry about it.

Pink, I'm not sure why you find yourself perturbed by a function that serves as a little harmless nonsense... We create profiles on CM for the express purpose of having people VIEW THEM, the function of being able to see who views our profiles is partly there to give us a view points of interest in case we have previously overlooked someone we possibly may find interesting.

I like the feature. I'm new here so...never not had it.

Just b/c someone views me doesn't mean I have to express any interest. However, there are a couple I -might- be interested in, and knowing they've looked a few times is kinda nice.

I've gotten quite an increase in male subs viewing my profile.  I know there can't be that many pictureless male subbies out there reading my thought-provoking posts.  I think it's because Mistress is in the first pic..and the fact She is a goddess goes without saying. [:D]

That's right, faceless subby boys...drool all you want over Mistress.  I get to drool on Her boots and clean them afterwards! [:D]

You get your profile viewed by some pretty strange members and you're complaining?

We're all pretty strange, but isn't that's what is so appealing about us?

I view all sorts of people. Sometimes when I'm bored I hit profile after profile, it means nothing really.If you don't like getting viewed then don't put photos up or just pull your profile altogether. For most people, getting their profile viewed is sort of the point for being here.

i check my whose viewing me function everytime i log on to CM. i like to see other strange people who i might not notice otherwise.

Not confusing at all, people are viewing a profile because of something the profile owner has posted on a thread, or because of their picture, or they like the username of someone and are curious who's behind the name, or they like the signature are want to know more about the owner.

I like to put face's with the names. Especially if they make a very intelligent post here on the forums. It also goes the other way... if they make a particularly nonsensical post.  [:)]

I tend to look at profiles when I am reading the forums. For example - you said in a post that you assumed Popeye wasn't old enough to remember the 70's gas rationing. At that point I looked at your profile to see how old you are. Because I do this, I can only assume others do the same thing. It doesn't necessarily mean I am interested in the person, only that I may have read one of their posts.

I did find it amusing when I received an email from a 40 year old male submissive in Texas who claimed he had viewed my profile and thought we might be a match.  I checked the "whos viewing list" and no he hadn't read it. Of course I could have figured that out on my own after reading his email. He either hadn't really looked at my profile or he was a total idiot.

He might not have been lying; he doesn't need to log in under his username to view your profile.  All he had to do it navigate to CM, then put in his birth date and any temporary username.
