W/we've all had it happen....there Y/you are just minding Y/your own beeswax when all of a sudden, and for no apparent reason....Y/you notice Y/your brian is playing a broken record.....the same song over and over and over again,...sometimes for days on end. Whenever Y/you try not to think about it, Y/you end up thinking about it......day in and day out....the song just plays so. Oh sure Y/you can try to drown out the unforgiving relentless tune with the raido, televeision, what have Y/you....but the mind's song just plays on...untill at some point Y/you notice...hey, its gone !.....what song has stuck in Y/your head like that? for me it was GONE WITH THE SIN by His Infernal Majesty (aka HIM) luckily , i like that song !

Those songs playing in your brain are called earworms. The one i hear that i hate the most is I"M A LITTLE TEAPOT. It drives me up the wall....especially the day when i couldn't remember one line of the stupid song. Lately TEAPOT has been replaced with THERE'S A HOLE IN THE BUCKET....which at least has a greater variety of verses.

"Caress Me Down" and "Garden Grove" by Sublime. I won't have listened to Sublime at all and suddenly parts of these two songs will pop in my head and replay themselves until I listen to them.

This will date me...but when they began playing "Anticipation" behind that damned ketchup bottle i thought i'd go nutso. Also i hated most wedding songs from my era (first marriages; in the '70's) like "You Light Up My Life". ICKO! i love music; i think LAUNCHcast Radio is the neatest thing since sliced bread. pinkpleasures

Usually it's that damn fairground carousel music! That damn organ do do dodedoo'ing in my head! This morning on my way to work that song Big Yellow Taxi by the Counting Crows with Vanessa Carlton ws stuck in my head and i hate that song!

lately "down on the base" by leon russell seems to creep into my mind....only interrupted by country joe and the fish, "feels like i'm fixing to...." but then again, there have been uncle sam issues on my mind...

" Mull of Kyintyre" by Paul McCartney and Wings (1977) which all of a sudden jups a grove to "Lola" the Kinks (1970) for Sir but Miss is a little more modern and its just those ones that she can put her own words to anyway as they seem to have only a few but she does do the "Hole in the Bucket" and sings it alowed

I've had two songs stuck in my head for the last couple of days and I don't even know how they got there. Devo's "Crack that Whip" or whatever it's called....and the old song "King of the Road". Odd.
