TheHeretic -> McCain's VP (6/3/2008 11:02:28 PM)

        I caught a bit of McCain's speech tonight.  I've described him before as a walking Ralph Steadman illustration, but he looked like death warmed over in this.  Think one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

      Who takes the Republican VP slot is going to be very important this year.  Who do you like?

      Rudy Giuliani might be enough to get me active in the campaign, Huckabee, or any other religious right type would be a dealbreaker.

With Obama running for the Dems he could pick Pee Wee Herman and it wouldn't make any difference.

DomKen -> RE: McCain's VP (6/3/2008 11:11:34 PM)

If you've been following the results of the GOP primaries since McCain became the presumptive nominee you will have seen the rather large protest vote totals in important GOP states. McCains VP choice will likely be dedicated to solidifying the base since they're giving every indication that they'll stay home on election day. I'd expect one of the younger darlings of the right, John Cornyn or someone similiar.

Going with that theory....
50% of the Democrats have been voting against Obama.

I think the Dems need to be more concerned about their own party unity before thinking about the GOP. You think those old white women are going to vote Obama? You are nuts!

GOP voters staying home? They can stay home forever as far as I am concerned.

We gotta find a way to make them crawl into their coffins too, then. Nip this in the bud once and for all.

[:D]

An absent or dead GOP voter is a good voter.

Yeah! The exact same way Bush I did... (potatoe!)

So the question is, what racist, sexist old fart warhawk will he pick to run with him? Will we get another Danny Quale, (an ineffectual clown) or will he pick another Cheaney? (A Darth Vader, who will control him from the wings?)

MissSepphora1 -> RE: McCain's VP (6/4/2008 5:34:39 AM)

This amused me to no end.  I could make so many comments about this, but I'll start with this one...

If the Dems didn't organize so many buses to take voters to the polls, there would probably be no Dem voters left.
They go out and find the people who couldn't even find the polls on their own intelligence, or are just too lazy to arrange their own way there.
Kinda sad...

And while I'm on the subject of Dem voters...

Aren't the Dems the ones squashing voter restrictions, such as actually proving citizenship before registering?  That's cause they like the hispanic voters so much!  Or maybe they don't mind if the registered voter is already in their coffin, someone else could vote for them.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: McCain's VP (6/4/2008 5:42:51 AM)

The Vice-President's name is Cheney.

Are you actually misspelling a word while insulting someone who misspelled a word???
LMFAO

And while I'm at it, Darth Vader was the powerful yet innocent pawn controlled by the evil emporer.

Chicago has a rich history of graveyard voting.  I believe voter participation actually increase post mortem.

Hmmm....d'ya think Obama will resurrect the Chicago Democrat principle of "vote early, vote often"?

MissSepphora1 -> RE: McCain's VP (6/4/2008 6:00:11 AM)

oh, damn... where did the Dems go???

here, Demy Demy Demy.

SugarMyChurro -> RE: McCain's VP (6/4/2008 6:14:42 AM)

Richard Perle.

          Didn't you get the memo from Barry about not running a divisive, bitter campaign, Bipo?  You'll be hearing from a couple guys from the South Side political action committee, if you keep this up...

I bet if a Republican said this about Dems you'd go ballistic.  Condoning the death of political opponents might be a sign that someone is afraid they can't win.
