i've noticed that few P/pl who post here use any of the features that allow a M/member to "pimp" T/their posts.  Hardly A/anyone uses different fonts, or different formats, or different colors, etc.
 
i always have...i just feel my pink font in size 4 looks more "like me" and better communicates my messages as i wish them to be.  It takes such a little amount of time to change any of the features...i just wonder why more P/pl don't do it?
 
Just FYI, i also "pimp" my Yahoo IM (though i hate Imvironments) and other 'net communications and have received nothing but compliments on it.
 
i guess i still beieve that, to some extent, the "medium is the message". 
 
What do Y/you think?

personally i like that most don't switch up too much, and i still appreciate the few that do, to me a forum can start looking cluttered, messy and all the sudden it's omfg change your color it sucks and all that whiny bullshit...

i used to change all sorts of things when i used forums but now i just like to put it in words, my names at the end, my picture's at the beginning, it's safe to say what's inside there, is all me.

Okay, you asked, remember?

It's hard for me to read pink, purple, or other colors like that.  It's hard for me to read centered text (that is actually almost criminal).  Italicized text is okay, but dark has that one sewn up and if I saw anybody else using it, I'd be all confused.

So I prefer to go with the standard Times Roman, left justified, normal kerning with 6 points of space between paragraphs, as research has shown that is what is easiest to read, because to me, that's the whole point.

i'm glad more people don't do it...it would become an eyesore and cause headaches if every post were a different color and font.

Get with the program Cali. Dont you know all twue subs do pink number 4 font?  Dont Y/you agree? Oooops. I'm such a disgrace. Anyhow like I said, get with the program if you want to be twue and weal. Well except when Y/you are even more weal and twue and go bigger cause Damit I'm a good sub and Y/you arent.

I am with Cali with this one. standard black left justified is the easiest to read. play with size/ bold if you must, but I dont like the light colors, that lime green that some use?? I want to stab them in the neck...

really, doesnt this suck?

I think that, for the most part, it looks silly. I like Darcy and the dark's font but the big bright colors just remind me of middle and high school. I use the smileys when I feel like it and the signature feature. I have no need to pimp my post. It's not like it's going to get me "forum bonus points" or anything.

It annoys me. The only people I've ever blocked were blocked because it was too hard to read the posts.The bright colors and italics tend to get skipped by me unless I highlight the entire post and read it that way. Super large fonts irritate me because it makes the post too long.

colors on the computer screen make me nuts.....even with reading glasses, it just hurts.  nevermind what S/slashy speak does to me.

the idea of feeling i needed to "pimp" my posts would make me kind of freak out too.  good or bad ideas and thoughts are good or bad.....adding a pink font doesnt change the message a bit.

you did ask for opinions.....
