Mike she did a great job, I was really impressed by her absolute support and genuine accolades for Obama. Great speech.

In a perfect world the two of them sit down discuss this candidly....and announce the Democratic ticket as Obama w/Clinton for v.p.....and the country is brought back to the center just a little bit after 8 long years of disastrous leadership and disappearing middle-class.And now I will sit back and await the attack from the right, which either doesn';t notice or doesn't care about the millions left behind by the policy's of the right-wing

I don't like the woman and would not cast a vote for any ticket with her on it but I liked the speech.  She did well.

Aynne -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/7/2008 11:17:36 AM)

Well Irishknight that is fair enough and open minded. At least you are willing to concede she gave a good speech regardless of your personal feelings.

Irishknight -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/7/2008 11:18:24 AM)

When you keep as little in your mind as I do you can afford to be open minded.

lol....me too somedays. [:)]

popeye1250 -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/7/2008 12:15:51 PM)

You watch, Obama's going to have an "accident."
I say plane crash  like Ron Brown with a "coup de grace"  hole in his head or maybe something involving a "faulty" elevator.

I wonder if Youtube has footage of Bill Clinton at Ron Brown's funeral laughing and joking when he suddenly realises that he's being filmed and then abruptly pretends to wipe a tear from his eye?

"Poor Obama, he was such a good running mate."
"It was my *Honor* to be able to run against him." lol
I'm tellin ya, she's going to have him wacked!

"Et tu Brute?"

I haven't seen or heard Hillary's speach, but, I'm willing to bet (say a bottle of Cristal ? ) that  in her heart (I was gonna say, ambitious, black heart, but I will refrain ), I doubt that Hilly  felt very supportive or sincere in her accolades for a rival whom she tried to undermine and smear throughout the primaries. Just sayin'.

We be cool, Red ? I hope my point of view in no way alters our, ummm, understanding.

popeye1250 -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/7/2008 12:23:53 PM)

Hey Kittin, what does "Coup de grace" mean in French?

slvemike4u -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/7/2008 12:31:09 PM)

Popeye not sure what in means in French, but what it would mean in English is Banana Republic

cjan -> RE: Clinton to concede Defeat (6/7/2008 12:32:32 PM)

popeye, I think it means a cuppa something you have very little of.

Oh Cj, don't you know me better than that silly[:)]? I know she is ummm rather aggressive sometimes, and I agree, probably she is secretly hoping for some kind of "October Surprise"....If I was Obama I would sleep with one eye open for a while. Just saying... But just like some women, she did a hell of a job faking it![8D]

pssst...just kidding boys, we never ever fake it.

None of my bloody business per se, but with so many American friends both in the US and living here I get involved in the election discussions. One constant kept comming through prior to her conceeding defeat, was that probably the thing holding her back could have been the doubtless generations of her family gathering at times in white robes and white hoods with a burning cross.. Who knows what drives people on any election trail and why some will not admit defeat unless preassured by their party. It's going to be an interesting Presidential election campaign now in ny case..
