That depends on the subject matter and the audience.

As Celtic can tell ya, you can be doing 20 over the limit and on 45 or 610 and a cop will pass you without blinking an eye.

Actually, that's not true.  The cop will likely camp out on your tail until you move over to the slow lane at that speed.

Of course, during rush hour if you're even doing the speed limit on 45 or 610--NASCAR has a ride for you!

Here's a question for everyone.
Who'd you rather be *with* in a disaster?
A group of military veterans or,..........*anyone* else?
Discuss.

Military vets, EMT's, scouts, outdoor adventure enthusiasts, survivalists, back to the earth types and independent country folks all will have an advantage in a disaster.

I want to be with people that realize that survival is first and foremost a matter of choice, and then of will.

Put me with the most stubborn, stiff-necked, profane sons of bitches there are (otherwise known as Marines)

.....a lot of little texas towns are notorious speed traps and there are a lot of "sherrif bufords"... Driving down here can be weird.

OMG, you ain't kidding!  I got pulled over in a similar type situation while driving through Shepherd, TX on the way to my ex-husband's funeral.  I was pissed b/c my ex always created issues for me and here he was doing it even in death

A combination of current and former military, several of my survivalist buddies, and some of the current producers/growers for the Food Coop that I'm a member of.

There's even a small select group of people who frequent these forums that I would consider in such times - all of them former military themselves - though they'd have to get it through their often rather thick skulls that not All women included could be considered booty or part of a stable.  (Yes, DA - this means you and Celtic and Irish LMAO)

We do indeed. However not in my part of the country, New England. Just too much snow, and that is actually a bonus when you like to snowmobile and ski.

Every cloud has a silver lining eh. I've always quite liked the snow....'could be different were I to have lived in an igloo mind.

A friend of mine once went to the US in the hope of seeing a tornado - 'couldn't get my head 'round why anyone would want to get caught up in a situation where trees and cars are flying around the head.......needless to say, she paid nigh on £3,000 and saw not so much as a sniff of a tornado.

You could always come up to the farm.  We've got acres of trees that need hugging.  I just don't have the time for all of them.
