trav608 -> Hate to be such a newbe - but have questions (6/5/2008 8:35:01 AM)

Hate to be such a newbe, but I have a few questions that I haven't been able to find an answer to - When looking through the personals, and someone hasen't been on for a while - If I sent an e-mail - would they get it - or only if they sighn on? - also I can mark some profiles favorites - how to get back too? - thanks all

xxblushesxx -> RE: Hate to be such a newbe - but have questions (6/5/2008 8:39:31 AM)

They would have to sign on to get their c-mail. (I think)

I'm unsure about what your second question actually is. Can you rephrase it? Thanks!

If you're asking how to see your list of favorites, in the lower left hand corner there is a stack of buttons.  The default is "new users", which means the list of new users is shown there.  I have mine set on "favorites", which then sticks until I change it.  My list of faves shows up there, and they move up or down the list automatically depending on when they last signed on (the person who signed on most recently is at the top of the list).  Then you can just click on their name to jump to their profile.  Click on the X by their name to remove them from your faves.

They can't get your message unless they sign onto Collarme, although they will be notified by regular email that they have a message at CM.

To get to your favorites you need to be on the Home page.  Scroll down and look on the left side.  You'll see blocks saying "New Users", "Favorite Users", "Blocked Users", etc.  Click on favorite users and your list will appear below.

It should go to the email box that you signed up to CM on to activate your account. Some email servers mark some email coming from certain sites as spam and automaticaly block it. If you are not receiving email on your server, you might have to open up a yahoo email address and change it over. I had to do that with CM to receive my email notifications.

Christina, go to your "read mail" box, then at the upper right there is a button that says "mail controls", click that, and at the top of the new page there is a box that says "send notificiation emails for new messages" and check that box, then click the "save changes" button.

Hmmm....*or* I may have changed my email address since then.
Guess it's time to update the profile.
Again.
*sigh*

Sometimes there is a lag in the system.  Or it may be a yahoo thing as my notification goes to a yahoo email.  But for the most part it's a good feature to use.

Cali admit that you were the one who put that X next to my name.  Yahoo will notify if you have CM mail.

Ray, I was merely sketching pics of positions I wanted you to tie me up in, before the flogging started.

We can get notices that we have collarme mail, but if that's not set up, the person won't know they have mail until they sign on again.

You can use your favorites list to save profiles or you can bookmark them just like you do any webpage, I think.

Mikado -> RE: Hate to be such a newbe - but have questions (6/6/2008 4:09:47 PM)

And how to find the Collar Me profile of people in the forum?
The link leads to a special page, which is a dead-end.
But when reading the forum, you can find people that look interesting to you, and it would be easier if there was a way to reach their profile so that you can ask them to play if they're like-minded...

GreedyTop -> RE: Hate to be such a newbe - but have questions (6/6/2008 4:48:53 PM)

Mikado.. if you are reading a post by someone that interests you, clicking on their name should take you to their profile

Mikado -> RE: Hate to be such a newbe - but have questions (6/7/2008 9:44:15 AM)

Yes, it works!
I don't know why it didn't work yesterday, was I so clumsy?
I'm convinced I clicked on the same link today and yesterday...
Thanks anyway.

They will only get regular mail if they have notifications turned on. If not, they will just have to sign in to know they have mail
