Do I believe I was born to be who I am? No. I do believe that I have certain personality traits that led to my submissive nature and my dominant nature, but I do not think it was a predisposition.

Do I believe in certain circumstances that led to my current situation/orientation? Yes.

I'm still searching for the answer as to why I am the way I am. I may continue searching for the rest of my life. Who knows? I certainly don't have all the answers for myself.

Possibly this is where "dominant" slaves find themselves. Strong willed, independent, self determined, yet totally surrendered to another?

I wouldn't say that being strong willed and independent makes you a "dominant" anything. It makes you just that-strong and independent. Those are great things to be. Few dominants want a slave who is weak willed and dependent.

I just wanted to thank all who replied. I found the responses very interesting and thought provoking. I like hearing what others think and believe on this and other issues. Individual opinions do count, at least I know they do to me, and learning what others think, feel, and believe makes them who they are, is important. Again thank you all.

being a slave... for me... it was constant slave training across the board, by every person who has ever been in my life... from birth to present day...
