Thankfully, there isn't too much of a cow industry 'round here.

$3.89, but $5.00 isn't far away.

My car averages 20.7 with the a/c on, close to 22 without; those are city numbers, I'm not sure what it'd get on the highway.

Gas here is at about $4.05 a gallon....there are differences of about 3 cents between the different gas stations.  I will now have to pay $8 a week for gas.  I get about 80 mpg......BTW, I own a 150cc scooter.  There is NO WAY I'm going to invest in a car.  Not at these gas prices!  The scooter works fine for getting me around, if I need a car, I call a friend or a cab.  I've also started using the bus and a bike.  I have noticed that the buses are far more crowded now than they were even a month ago.  $3.50 seemed to be the tolerance cut off for a lot of folks.

you may want to use Gas Buddy then to find gas at the lowest price ...is that price for premium ?   because regular  highest prices are not showing as over $5 in California

I went to a Shell in evanston this morning for 4.09. Because after hearing yesterdays news (of the increase to record proportions of crude oil), I went out to fill my tank before the next increase. It cost 52 dollars to fill my chrysler and it wasnt even completely empty.

$4.01 here in Annapolis MD area.
Camry gets 28 mpg
Tundra (older model) gets about 20 on a good day so it sits more than not since my husband/property works nights so we can share a car.

I'm job hunting and have started looking more towards jobs that I can use the Metro to commute into rather than those that are driving only.  We already canceled some later in the summer travel plans due to the forcast with gas prices.
