Johnstoy -> IE relationship (6/7/2008 5:26:41 AM)

i was wondering what a ie reationship was.  What does it mean?  i am in a group that has mentioned it and was wondering if someone could explain it to me.

Thanks

We need to see the words that followed i.e. or the words immediately before it in order to let you know what they were talking about.  It means id est.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 5:39:18 AM)

IE has no meaning without context, as Katy said. It can mean i.e. as in such as, it can bean Internet Explorer... or it could be some term that group coined itself, like we have WIITWD.
In and of itself, ie relationship means nothing tous, you might want to ask the membes of the group you saw it in.

Such as a TPE  which means  "total power exchange".....What does IE stand for.

i didn't explain question right.

Sorry i asked this question without researching it a bit further.  On the slave registry site they give the definition.

Internal Enslavement is both a process and a set of practical techniques which use detailed examination of a slave's thoughts, emotions and past experiences to establish and maintain a solid and inescapable state of ownership. This is achieved through control of the slave's psychological states, in contrast to External Enslavement.

Thanks so much for looking and trying to answer me.

We told you what it stands for.  Internet Explorer, id est, etc.  Please ask your owner for clarification, or the group that uses the terminology.

KatyLied -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 6:34:22 AM)

Okay, you found the answer.  I never would've been able to figure out that it had something to do with slavery.

SimplyMichael -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 6:53:43 AM)

IE is as meaningful or meaningless as TPE

KatyLied -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 7:32:14 AM)

So, Michael, not TPE'd IE for you?   [:D]

MadRabbit -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 7:42:32 AM)

Information Exchange, of course.

It's centered around that hot and steamy kink where two people cozy up in the living room under the reading lamp and read segments of War and Peace to each other.

Usually in the scene referred to as "Internal Enslavement" as noted above...usually just another frilly term people tack on to make their particular situation "special."

Ah! That explains it! Marriage!

Not that I'm the godking of BDSM terms, but I am nerdier than average, and I've never run across this ever, either in online or real.  Does it have a life outside the website the OP referenced?

Genuinely interested.

Alumbrado -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 10:31:30 AM)

If it is Internal, can it twuly be Enslavement?

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 10:32:24 AM)

The essays that I've read about I.E. were rather interesting, if you want to follow this link to them:  http://www.enslavement.org.uk/cv-maslow

i really liked the article you gave the link for.  Thanks for giving it.  The internal enslavement is new to me also, even though i have heard the term "IE" but just didn't know what they were refering to.  As to is this real life, i do know a couple in the lifestyle that i am pretty sure live this way.  i think it is really interesting, and this article really puts in into a great perspective.

Thanks again!

abcbsex -> RE: IE relationship (6/7/2008 7:03:58 PM)

oh dear, for a second there I thought it was a relationship based on a couple's shared passion for internet explorer. I'm relieved to find something else entirely.

Kindandcruel -> RE: IE relationship (6/9/2008 5:17:20 PM)

This is a good example as to why you should not place much if any importance in what you learn here on the forums... here is a person that obviously lives on the forums with her opinion 9K plus posts and she had no clue as to what IE meant. That was obvious to anybody that has real and extensive experience.

The advice here even if it is researched out, is of very poor quality and should be taken only as the opinion of a person that doesn't have a life of their own... obviously; otherwise they wouldn't be living on the forums giving out bad advice.
