Ok its 10.30pm on a saturday and i'm sat on my sofa in the living room alone. All i have for company is a tub of pringles, 20 cigs, plentiful coffee and cm! There is just something so wrong with this picture! I'm not even sure why i have put this in random stupidity other than its going to be a huge rant (i can feel it in my water), cos i really am serious, wtf is wrong with me? Someone said to me in another thread 'you seem to be having the time of your life' and i was like 'yeah'. But then no, i stopped and thought and no im really not. I have 1 dom who i haven't seen for about three months for various reasons, its pretty much over id say (noones fault.) I have another who i really do think im just an emotional sounding board and temporary replacement for for what he lost recently. Then the third who sooooooooo wants to be up here with me but is so busy cant find the time. Finds it for everyone else though! My life is so fulfilling in every way, friends, business and family and yet i still ache at this huge gap in my life where that special someone or multiple someones should be. I'm not desperate, not really hugely actively searching but i have just got to that point where i think there really is noone out there for me. The mail i get here is all, well in the main, from people who quite obviously havent read my profile and are pretty incompatible with me. I have to wonder if its my profile, ive read and reread it and i think im pretty clear about what i want, who i am but i guess the only common denominator in all this is me, so go figure. I don't think i'm ugly, i'm average looking so its not my quasi looks putting people off. Well i dont think so [:D]. I'm not demanding other than honesty and good communication, so its not my weird requests or speciality kinks that do it. So wtf is it? Omg i really think im having some sort of mid life crisis or break down here [:o]

~fr~ I'm not sure, but if you figure it out let me know please. I'm pretty much going through something similar. If I'm not at work, the computer is tuned to CM until I go to bed, then the madness repeats the next day... It's a neverending battle that I cannot seem to break. <hug>

Missterbation in all seriousness, having read your posts here and on informed consent I know you have the single most attractive feature anyone can possible have- intelligence. Speaking as someone who has never had even a non-serious relationship, I know what it is to feel unfulfilled in life. Yes, it is largely my own fault, I have a self-destruct button called my mouth and the build of a smallish truck. This is my convoluted way of saying... I dont know. Ignore my flippancy and you are lovely. Erm. Thats it.

You seem awesome. I think we all just go through dry spells in certain areas of our life. Try and be happy with what you DO have. You know, the whole count your blessings thing. You're safe, you have people who care about you, and you have a lot of things together. Just delete the crappy emails, answer the good ones, and if nothing comes of that right now, it will later. You don't have to settle, but you might have to wait. :)

....side note-sometimes alone time is good for us. Clear the mind and re-evaluate things so that when the next one comes along we're better prepared for them. Nothing wrong with you (or any of us). Just time for reflection and re-invention. I've read many of your other posts before my lil forum hiatus. You just bout got it all.[:D] *imo*

I wonder why we often feel at our lowest on a Saturday night? I think it's because we have visions of every other person in the world out with friends, having a ball. In actual fact there are millions of us sitting at home doing exactly the same thing. Smoking our heads off and watching crap movies on TV!! Why do you think Bridget Jones Diary was so popular? We could all identify. You are a beautiful woman, so it's definitely not your looks, or lack of them. I'm probably way off the mark here, but I'm wondering if you are so busy in your life that you're not giving full attention to the emotional side, looking for someone who is right for you, and not just someone who will do because you're lonely. You haven't really split with your dom, but you haven't seen him in 3 months, so you're not being fulfilled there. Another wants you to be his therapist until something else comes along. No fulfillment there either. The last one has no time for you, but time for his other friends? Mkay, definitely no fulfillment there. By what I'm hearing, you're a strong lady who is smart about how she lives her life, except in this one part where you need and deserve more than you're getting from the people you're choosing to have in your life. I don't think this is just about sex either, it's about intimacy. Someone that you can just hang out and watch a movie with, without making an effort and slapping make up and heels on, someone who just knows and loves you because you're you. There isn't anything wrong with you and there's nothing wrong with the people who email you (actually that's a lie, there are some very strange people out there!!). You just don't click with them. You found a dom once before, you will find one again and this experience might just make it easier to spot the good stuff from the mud!! Chin up.[:)]
